SHOULD I JUST COPY THE CHARGES DOWN ON A SEPRATE PAPER WITH THE DATE NEXT TO THEM OR DOESIT NEED TO BE MORE DETAILED.PLEASE HELP AND THANKS VERY MUCH FOR YOUR TIME
  • If the bank hasn't replied to you in the time frame you set, you send the next letter.

They did reply. I got a letter back saying they're looking into it. Or do you mean I need a positive reply?

I am in the same situation. I have a £1500 overdraft with them but I have not opened a parachute account as yet. I doubt I will get another student account with a £1500 overdraft facility anyway.
I also have an Abbey account with an overdraft facility (£1500) which I am almost up to my limit on. I have written to try and claim back nearly £500 in charges and requested they keep my account open but as yet have had no reply. I think I will have to change banks by the general sound of things.
  • Hi how long does it usually take? I sent off the first letter asking for details of charges or the statements on the 25th Jan and havnt heard a thing yet,and the cheque hasnt been cashed
