You dont have to wait for them to bother to reply denying your claim or making a low offer of settlement and can now file claim at the online court for Northern Ireland, yes. Good luck :)

Thank you very much. I need all the luck I can get!
  • but does anyone know the english address i can put down on my claim for HALIFAX CARD SERVICES i only have address in fife which i cant put down on mcol

    Hi
The West Yorkshire address appears on the bottom of Halifax's response to me regarding my credit card charges, so maybe you could forward it there.

Trinity Road, Halifax, West Yorkshire, HX1 2RG.

Hi,I am new here and I have had enough of people robbing me of my hard earned cash so plan to work down the chain starting at my bank that my salary goes into.

I have held the account with them for 28 years (since 8 yrs old), I have been getting charged £0.55 for every direct debit on my account, however my partner who has an account (Current) also at the Clydesdale Bank gets charged 0.10 per DD.

Having had an interesting but fruitful call with their useless call centre, they are not prepared to justify why I get charged £0.45 more than my partner other than saying its the account type and they wont discuss my partners account nor the type of account she holds with me as I do not hold that type of account so I am not privilaged.

Whats the chances of reclaiming the excess £0.45 charged over the last 5 years?, If they can do other peoples DD for 10p why should I pay more?

    Thanks in advance, Richard.
  • i have just begun the process of re claiming my bank charges and when i wrote to nationwide for the data protection stuff they sent me charge descriptions for an account i did not ask for. i want to write to nationwide to ask for the right charges but i don't want to pay the £10 again, am i being tight, even though they sent me the wrong charges?

also, when i write to nationwide for my charges back, am i writing to the same address as i did for the data protection stuff??????????

Advice please anyone - am trying to help my son get his charges back. Have sent standard letter to local branch which was received and signed for. Waited the recommended 40 days and nothing. My son rang them to ask where the statements were and was told they had no record of his letter and would "investigate". Funny thing is though, they have cashed the cheque, but still no statements. Have reported to Information commissioner, but have heard nothing. It has been ages now, can he go into his bank and demand the statements there and then considering they have cashed his cheque?

I started to fill out the warrant stage by mistake, but when i got to the stage about how much you were issuing the warrant for, i'm sure the cost was about £35.00, which i think is added onto the total being claimed back.

    L

Ive requested a warrant against Lloyds TSB (bank account), at a cost of £55. This will have to be refunded by the bank, apparantely

I recently requested my Lloyds TSB credit card statements, then realised that they were available online. Strangely enough, i logged on today, and they are no-longer available online.

These banks seem to think of everything, to try and delay things.

Another strange thing. I'm expecting Lloyds TSB to throw me out anytime soon, after my recent court success.

But today, they raised my credit card limit by £1000. I didn't even request it. I wonder what they are up to now.

Reclaiming on a business account is different to that of a current account. The business account thread for this site is here:
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=270122

However the thread on this site contains a lot of recommendations to go to the Consumer Action Group site for detailed information on business accounts. You need to register but it is free and the business account thread on that site is here:
    http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/general/68191-claiming-business-account-lets.html?

    Good luck :)

I just used the same templates for my business account, as i did for my personal, and have now been paid out.
