Any help or advice (but preferably reassurance) would be very much appreciated as I have been so patient, and up until now I have followed everything to the letter, and am very worried it has all been for nothing.
thanks for whoever takes the time to read all this, I know I have gone on. Sam x
It won't do any harm having sent them all the information, don't worry about it.0 -

hello, back in february i reclaimed bank charges mounting to £4670!! on the 22nd april they gave me £625 back (not good enough!!!!!!). so i took it to the financial ombudsman. today i recieved a letter from them telling me their procedures, and it stated it may take 6 to 9 months to get a result. i really dont want it to take that long, i think its took long enough!!!! can i still take them to court even though i have gone to the ombudsman, or do i have to wait for them to resolve the case. how do i go about getting a court case and how long will it take through the courts????? im getting very frustrated with all this waiting!!!!0

Hello everyone. I have read a fair bit in these forums but I feel a bit unsure as to what to do next so I thought I would post. I sent off the first letter to the Royal Bank of Scotland to get a copy of my statements which they sent back to me. I then sent off the second letter asking for my charges to be refunded (including interest amounting to 600 pounds) and they replied with a letter stating that they are looking into it and will reply soon. I then waited the 14 days and sent the 3rd letter out threatening to take it to court. I then received a letter yesterday (today is the 14 day deadline) saying basically the same thing - that someone is looking into it and will get back to me.
Do I go on to the final step now and put a claim in? I am in Northern Ireland so I assume that I can go to the online court for Northern Ireland mentioned in the main article? I'm not sure whether I should wait to hear from them as stated in their letter?
Please reply as soon as possible so I can make my deadline!!!

hi there, i have sent the 2 letters requesting for the money back on the unfair bank charges. i just received a letter today stating that my complaint has been declined and they (bank) are in line with the Terms & Conditions of the banking agreement.
so i presume the next step is court action or at least threaten them with court action through the small claims. i'm in scotland so not sure how different it is up here... my claim is for £1700.
can anyone offer any help, which websites or companies to use etc...?
thanks in advance.

The deadline for my allocation questionnaire to be completed was 30th April. I sent it in before then. I called the courts on Monday to find out whether I had a hearing date yet. They mentioned that HSBC had not filled in the questionnaire yet  I pointed out the deadline was on the 30th, and that things needed to be moved on. The woman claimed that my claim should have moved to the next stage, and she did not know why it had not been actioned. She claimed she would do it, right away. If anyone is waiting out there, I suggest you ring the courts to check where your claim is, or you could be waiting forever. I want this over with, as I started this process at the end of January.0
