Hi all can someone help me i sent my first letter dated 12/4/07
asking for all the charges they have made on my account and the have 40 days to reply correct? now i've got a loan with the rbs and i got myself into a bit of financial difficulty and could not afford to pay the full amount the cab dealt with the rbs
and the rbs as accepted a reduced payment i can afford been making this payment into my account each month now they say put a block on my account meaning i can pay in but cant withdrawn any monies out?
Ive opened a new account at another bank and have my wages paid in and have set up all my direct debits and standing orders with the new bank
now if i'm successful and get my charges back from the rbs and they pay into my account at the rbs i wont be able to take it out:confused:
thanks for all you help in advance Ray
  • Hi,
I have a savings account with RBS. i was just looking through my statements only to find lots of little charges on there.I rang the bank who informed me i was only allowed to withdraw three times from this account in any quarter, and if i withdrew anymore times than that i would have to pay a penalty charge of £1.50. Its adding up to quite a bit. I`m cross because nobody told me about these penalties! Does anyone know if i can claim these charges back? I`ve looked at the list of things you can claim in the help thread, but i`m still not sure?
  • hello i'm new 2 this, so not sure wot i'm doin. Havin problems with Abbey they have sent me a year of statements and say the rest is on microfich where do I go from here plaese please help!!
  • Can you claim bank chargers from Business accounts? My husband has had an account for over a year, but last week the bank sent him a letter saying they were going to charge him over £100 for setting up an account for 07/08, but it is already set up. He gets charged for all kinds of stupid things.
  • I have had the same response from Natwest, the solicitor is requesting more details of the charges etc. I feel out of my depth also, has anyone been here? Do I have to respond with extra info on the charges? surely they have access to that information already. What happens if I don't send extra details of the charges I am trying to re-coup?
