There is only a fee with the AQ if the claim is more than £15000 -
I have just started the process with the Halifax so far:
had my list of charges
sent letter to claim charges back
had an acknowledgement letter
Now my question is in this letter it says the FSA gives them 8 weeks to deal with it but this site says give them 14 days what should I do?

i sent the first letter to my bank on feb 22 and have still not received a list of default charges. i have been in touch with ico, what happens now.0

from what I've read on here, it would be wise to send another letter advising them, and immediately phone them up and inform them.
If they haven't responded and provided you with what you requested (assuming the letter arrived and everything was done properly) you're perfectly within your rights to inform the Information Comissioner as this is a breach of the Data Protection Act.

Hi
I'm new here so apologies if these questions have already be answered, but any help would be much appreciated. I have sent template letters one and two to HSBC (my branch address), reclaiming £1860 in charges. I have received no response whatsoever and tomorrow their 14 days to reply to letter two is up.
Since sending the first letter I have been charged another £150 and they are going to take a further £100 on the 27th of this month. Can I add these charges to the amount I am currently claiming or would I have to start the whole process over again to do this?
I also read somewhere on here that a response is more likely if you email them through online banking - is it worth doing this to tell them I will be filing a claim through small claims court? and if so, is there any particular wording I should use? (really don't want to mess this up!!)0 -

You dont have to start again and can add charges incurred right up until you file for claim at court so be sure to check for any charges listed as pending on your most recent statament too. You can try emailing as it is certainly quicker than writing but I dont if the response will be as fast or any more likely to speed up settlement. The wording of your LBA can be used again to make a final request for settlement either by letter, recorded delivery, or by email. Good luck0 -

I have had an offer through for 770.00 when my amount is 1145.00 plus 120.00 court costs. Does anyone know what I should do. I am going to ring the bank asking for all tommorow but if they do offer me it should I still set the judgement as the money is not in my account yet.
Thanks in advance
Lindsey
that's almost £500 less than your claim!! however, it is completely up to you as to how you want to continue!!

I sent my AQ Form to my local court along with the calculator of charges 4 weeks ago and not heard anything yet. How long has everyone else waited until they heard something? Its with Barclays if that makes a difference.0
