Have a read of the Reclaiming in Scotland thread here...

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=308885

Due to the amount you are reclaiming and if you have to file in Scotland in fact you would be better putting your claim through the Financial Ombudsman however, start your claim yourself and if you have no satisfactory replies from A&L then put your claim through the FO.
  • won 750 but still waiting for money back from tsb

    ps after 2nd letter
  • Received a letter today from the RBOS....

"Thank you for your recent letter regarding charges applied to your account. We are currently considering your claim and will respond to you as soon as possible.

    Yours Sincerely
    Sandy Watt
    CRU"

No prizes for what their next letter is going to say lol

Is this their stalling tactic? They have actually answered my letter within the stated time scale, although I guess it doesn't say much does it.

Do I now wait until the 20th (14 day time limit) and then go to the next stage or should I just take that as their reply and continue? Can anyone help please?

    Thanks in advance!
  • Hi all!!
I was just wondering was I dreaming or did I see somwhere that you can sue the bank for retaliatory account closure?
Allaince and Leicester have informed me they will close my account on 13/05/07.
I am not concerned as I have a paracute account, but it has angered me that they are allowed to get away with bullyboy tactics!!!

Mind you, at this rate they will have no customers left!!!

hi, i have just sent off my claim through MCOL. I have tried to look through the threads for timescales on what happens next. Am i right in thinking that the Lloyds TSB have 14 days from now to acknowledge or defend the claim?? If so, then what happens please??

Go to Martins detailed process at front and follow his instructions on completing the forms. It is very comprehensive. Only dont include the extra para if you are claiming interest as it will be too long and para is unnecessary. :money:

In fact if you read the Success Stories and the RBS thread you'll find that RBS usually offer more or less the full amount before you need to file at court so I would send off your LBA on the 20th if you don't hear again before then.
  • Sent a letter to the bank after I got a reply saying nothing that If I don't get all my money reclaimed I will be taking them to court. I got a reply saying that the charges are legal, and they're not going to pay them back..

Sooo what do I do now?
