Check to see if they have acknowledged the claim using MCOL website. Think you've gotta give them 19 days to at least acknowledge it and then you can file for judgement.

Have a look at the MCOL Questions thread
  • Hi

I started the process and sent the letter informing LloydsTSB that I will claiming back my charges. I got a 'canned' reply and then sent them the 2nd letter, to which i got no reply. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to start court proceedings due to a lack of money. I am able to start this now, but should I contact the bank again or just start the court stuff??
  • I sent the first letter to the bank of scotland and received a letter back after 12 days stating that they would "look into it". Should i proceed as planned and send the 2nd letter 14 days after the first one was sent?

I would do, as the second letter states you "have not received a satisfactory response", which is correct. They've taken their time in sending their reply, but it's all just delay tactics, so I'd continue to follow procedures and send your second letter.icon7.gif

It's totally up to you as to whether or not you accept this figure. Weigh everything up ... are you happy to accept this "smaller" amount now if you feel it will benefit your personal finances sooner rather than later, or can you afford to wait for a while to (most probably) get the full amount? It's really a personal decision and one which only you can answer, everyone's in a different position with regard to their finances.icon7.gif
