The MCOL helpline number is 0845 601 5935, it might be worth ringing them if you have family or someone you know and trust in England.0 -

I am just in the final stages of reclaiming charges from my bank, however I am sure i have had a higher total of charges made from my 2 credit card companies over the last few years. Can anyone tell me if I able to claim back cc charges in the same way as the Bank? I have read various articles in the press but appear to be more confused now!
Appreciate any help0 -

Yes you can. I have claimed on 2 credit cards and won the full amount on both0 -
 oh my word!!!......I've just gone on ebay, because I was having a break from housework, typed in "reclaim charges"...low & behold people are charging up to £20 a throw just to do what we are all doing on here
......someone out there is naive enough to give a complete stranger on ebay ALL their account details in order for them to do this!!! shocking
Added:...........someone is charging £149...... jeeeez!0 -

I luckily retained all bank statements and calculated that the bank charges totalled with interest just over £5000. I wrote to Branch Manager at Natwest on 26th Feb, received no responce. Wrote again 12th March again no response and then wrote threating court action letter on 22nd and yes you guessed it still no responce.
I know the next step should be MCOL but not easy with no credit card and no money available on debit card. Can anybody suggest any other tactics I could employ to at least get some sort of responce???
I don't want to appear as desperate but as you can imagine I most definately am.
Any good advice gratefully received.

might you be eligible for exemption from court fees. ie. income under 15k i think.
if not you can pay with cash at the court - use the N1 form instead of mcol. https://www.hmcs.gov.uk to download the forms. exemption form is ex160.LegalBeagles0
