Letter 2 was due to go out next week - do i send it or go straight to MCOL?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

You must send the letter before action and don't go straight to MCOL.

I have 2 schedules ... the initial spreadsheet I produced from bank statements, showing date/reason for charge/actual charge (without interest) which I've sent to the bank and one I've produced since using Martin's calculator showing interest. Should I send both with the Allocation Schedule, or just the one showing interest?

    Thanks.

Just send the one showing the interest :)

You need to total up your charges and then send off the initial letter to your bank to claim them. Have a read of Martin's article below and you'll find all the template letter's in the article. See also the Reclaim Help Thread which is linked in my signature.

Thanks will do ...then after the further 7 days who shall i put for MCOL the local branch or customer relations head office??? if any one knows thanks xxxx
  • I would say it doesnt really matter, as long as you give them your account numbers they can access your files from any branch or H.O. I sent my statements to my local branch, remember to send recorded delivery, you can track it on the royal mail web page, also you can see who signed for it.

Just send the one showing the interest :)

Thanks, but I'm sure I've read somewhere that the schedule should state the reason for each charge, which Martin's calculations don't of course illustrate. Wouldn't this mean I'd have to combine both schedules to show all details?

    Thanks.

    MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS
