    Helllooo!

Just wondering...I finally got a payment through from Natwest as really needed the cash. My question is the offer letter they sent me was based on my first charges refund request in December and I accepted based on this figure.

I got a call from them today asking if I would be calling my court to stop proceedings....

I have incurred charges from December to now and wondering if it's worth me keeping the court ball rolling or to stop the claim and file another with them for the new charges?

I'll tell you what I did to get my statements - I had originally sent my letter off on the 1st March to request my statements, then by the 21st March I thought I had better give them a ring to make sure that they had received my letter and that they were processing my request. I phoned 01226 261010 and spoke to a nice guy called Declan - he said he didn't have any details about my letter but said he could order them now while I was on the phone - which he did - I received my first batch of statements on 24th March and then received the second set this morning. I have now calculated all the figures using the interest calculator and my letter has now gone off today.

When you phone the above number - you will need to input you account details and security digits as you would do with telephone banking- I then selected option 8 then option 2 and was connected quickly.

    Hope this helps ;)
  • Hello
We bank with HSBC, I sent them a letter requesting my bank charges back for both mine and my partners accounts for the last 4 years, it took a few months and a couple more letters, we also had to look at our statements on line to get all of the charges listed. but it paid off and now we are 3,500 quid better off

  • I have recently sent in the initial letters requesting a total of bank fees from Barclays Bank. Has any one had their account closed at Barclays? It's really worrying me?

Can anone of you clever people help me with this. Long post but once you have read it you will understand.

Sent first letter to Marbles asking for money back with list of charges.
Had letter back today stating charges are fair etc etc.
However it also says, and I quote:-

"The OFT has recently published the findings from its enquiry into default charges on credit cards.HFC has carefully considered the OFT's publication and does not accept its findings. However the OFTs investigation has led to a change in market practices and HFC has therefore decided for commercial reasons and in the interests of customers, to reduce its credit card charges for the future. These changes do not affect charges that have already been applied. Accordingly I regret that we are not prepared to make any refund of default charges or provide any compension payments".

Now is this a stalling tactic, them thinking I'll go away. - has anyone else had the same response from Marbles (HFC) and ended up getting there money back?

Letter 2 was due to go out next week - do i send it or go straight to MCOL?

    Any advice would be appreciated.

From what i'm reading from the threads you still have the right to know how much they have charged you in the last 6 years, that is your right as their customer and it is YOUR information. If they fail i have read that people have threatened the bank directly with the small claims court. Hope this helps... have a read through the success threads

Hi I think that I will be able to claim my charges, as I am receiving a financial service and they are penalising my for not paying on time, but can somebody please confirm this for me?

    Thanks,

Its a catalogue company essentially so yes you can reclaim.
