Hi
Can someone please help me. I have sent the letter to the Co-Op bank requesting charges and the have sent a list of charges instead of all the statements. I am very confused there are 4 coloums which are Commission, debit interest, DR INT REF and Fees.
Im confused as how do I know which ones I can claim back as I realise some of the charges are for my privilage account subscription that I can't claim back. Some of the figures in the commision coloum I know are definatly over limit charges but what is the fees coloum for?.0 -
can anyone help....what do i do next, i sent the first letter back but have only received last years statements!
i need the rest, and it seems like they are just time wasting!0 -
Can anyone help me, I have sent 4 letters to my bank now, I received a reply to the first which stated that I wouldn't be entitled to any refunds, so I sent a reply stating that was not satisfactory and the charges were unfair etc, then I sent a 3rd and 4th letter to which I have not received any response, the last letter I sent was threatening Court action but now I am bit stuck because I live in the Isle of Man and the Court procedures are a little different here, I have all the forms for small claims action but I do not know who to send the notice too. I bank with Lloyds TSB so they are a national bank, do I use the address on the Island or the Complaints Dept address to whom I have sent the letters too already. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,
I have had an offer letter from First Direct's solicitors, for nearly the total of my claim, but despite phoning the bank have got no date for the money to be paid into my account, my court papers are due to be sent back next week, and I am not sure what to do now, if the cash is not paid in do I go ahead and send the court papers ? and how can I hurry the bank up ?
Also could someone post the link for the first direct forum, so that I can check with others with the same problem.
Many thanks0 -
Could anyone help me out here. I am claiming almost 7,000 from HBOS in Glasgow and am now at the stage where the 14days until I take court action are almost up and I have absolutely no idea how to go about this. Because of the amount I am claiming I cannot go through small claims court and because I am in Scotland I cannot file online, could any wiser person out there tell me how I go about doing this. Do I go to the County court and get the paperwork from them or somewhere else. Many thanks.

I have noticed from looking through the 'Success Stories' forum, that HSBC never appear to offer the full amount claimed (I am presuming that they offer without the interest?!). :wall:
Does anyone else feel it is worth pushing for the full amount (as I do!) & if so, would that push just be in the form of filing MCOL after (& if!) a settlement letter of less than claimed amount is received?
Hope I am not covering an already asked question area, as my little eyes can only read so fast & so many pages .............
Cheers,
Helen*Helen*

If you havent written to accept the settlement they will be waiting for this before proceeding. If you have and they still havent paid up write and advise that your acceptance will be withdrawn if payment is not made within 7 days. Then proceed to court if they dont pay. They are delaying otherwise.

Good luck getting your settlement soon0 -
Hi Helen,
I have just had a letter from first direct's solicitors (same bank as HSBC) offering me all of my money back ( including interest and court fees) minus 80.00 which they said was out of date, I did have to file a court claim, which they defended, but got offer letter next day !! It is definatly worth going all the way, and by taking them to court you can claim the interest back to ! Go for it you have nothing to loose.
