    Hi

I have received what seems to be the usual letter from Barclays saying they are looking in to my complaint, I am aware from what I have read on this site that I need to work to my time scale and not their's. I am now preparing my second letter with regards to court action however I am unsure which court I need to put in to the letter, would this be any local county court in my area?

Any advice would be much appreciated.
    Thank you in advance

Just to let you all know I have just got judgement by default from Barclays! They acknowledged my claim but never defended it! How do I request they pay by cheque because the bank account is closed? Do I write to my local branch who I used to use?

You can leave that bit as 'local county court' or you can look up the name and address of your local one here :

    good luck :)

You could but the manager there probably wouldnt know what was going on. I would direct this correspondence to the address that you sent the LBA to for continuity.

Hope that helps and congratulations on your success :)

    Hi All
I have just come off the phone to BOS this is day 15 after initial letter claiming charges of £1160, was informed that a backlog of 14 weeks for statements if anyone applies now! I was told that an acknowledgement letter was being sent out to me today, I assume that this will just acknowledge the fact that they got my claim but won't be an actual offer I was also told that they had 8 weeks to sort out but they are averaging 4 to 5 weeks. Should I just wait until tomorrow to see the letter first the send the second letter with the threat of court etc any advise would be grateful and also if I send the second letter could I claim interest and how do I calculate it out?
    Thank you in anticipation

Hi Skull13, I've just googled "cleared transaction fee" and it came up with 2 websites....this one and the Consumer Action Group, I looked at the Consumer Action site it it says you can claim for the "cleared transaction fee" from Abbey.

Here's the link I seen it on
    http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/abbey-cahoot-successes/46826-lydia_42-abbey.html

I hope it works, if not just type in google search:

    what is "cleared transaction fee"

Scroll down to post No4 which is a question.....post 5 answeres it.

Thats what I did. Hope it helps & good luck!
