  • I received my cheque this morning in the post, it took 23 working days from sending my acceptance back and only a week since I emailed Ian Clark so I guess it might be worth emailing him to speed up your cheque being sent out.
  • I have now been given 3 numbers this morning all which were absoulutely pointless just went round the houses! I have ppi on an old egg loan,it has now just been over 8 weeks but I have had no correspondance on what is actucally happeneing with regards to my claim?? So still none the wiser, I have just emailed someone at Citi hoping they will get their finger out and get back to me pretty quickly! I understand the back log but just knowing whats going on would be helpful!
Please also watch Watchdog tonight bbc 1 8.00 they will be dicussing ppi claims that are being paid out!!:(

I think you're jumping the gun a bit here. This thread is about people who have had their complaints upheld but have experienced delay in their redress being paid out.
You, on the other hand, are complaining of waiting for the Bank to respond to your complaint in the first place!

You do realise there is no guarantee of success?

The Banks are allowed eight weeks to consider complaints, but they should have acknowledged your letter within 2-3 weeks of receipt. As you have received no reply at all, it may be that the Bank don't have it . If this proves to be the case, do make haste in re-sending it because the eight weeks will only begin when they actually receive it.
  • I had a letter today from Canada square...apologising that due to an ain error my cheque was never actioned. Have said will be with me now in 20 working days and offered me 30 quid compensation. X
If I hadn't emailed head office I don't think I would of got it as no one actioned it. Keep fighting peeps x

My cheque arrived today, one day after the 15 day limit.

Mine arrived today, Simon Cooper said it was 15 days from "processing", which is not what my initial letter said, which I pointed out, but he didnt reply!!
So it was very spooky that it arrived on exactly day 15 from the day he said in his email.

I'm still hopping about the way we have all been treated, but I will bank it before I go any further!!

I'm not sure emailing Paul Clark or Simon Cooper does actually speed it up as it was apparently processed 3 weeks ago and I only emailed them at the weekend, but it might give you peace of mind at least.
