I have recieved a simialr letter, but it was asking for proof of address as to where i stay now as i have moved address since applying for my credit card and they dont have those details on file.0

Try 0800 358 2101, that's the number I called.
I had a similar problem. The original letter was sent to where I live now (rented, flat share). I still get all my financial stuff sent to my parents so I put their address on the form I returned. They then sent a further letter to my parents house asking for proof of my address as I had moved. The original loans were taken out when I lived at my parents so I couldn't see why it would be a problem sending the cheque there. I gave them a call to see what address they had on file and it was the one I'd requested. Luckily I still have bank accounts registered there.Starting mortgage balance 22/04/2013 £71,250
Overpayments to date £410
Current mortgage balance £70,6500 -
Thanks for the replies.
We have tried that number about 12 times and its always engaged. We also tried contacting citi for the correct number and no joy with that either.
We are sending a letter regardless, but its pretty annoying non the less.
We also tried the email addresses shown ealier in the thread but still no joy.
Its frustrating, because it seems pretty efficient otherwise?

Hi all,i received a claim form from Canada Square, claim was upheld, the top line was £850 however by the time they took away money for my account being settled early this reduced to £461 then they took away a further £410 as apparently my account is still active,i havent had any egg loans or cards in at least 7 years.I did have a trust deed however i'm pretty sure i had paid most of the egg stuff off before the trust deed started.can anyone give me a bit of advice on this and also a telephone number to contact them on,all there correspondence seems to come with is a P O box number in Worthing.
cheers guys.0 -
Egg would only have the right to off set any outstanding debt or monies written off. They couldn't/wouldn't do this if you had completely paid your debt to them already.fergieshandbag wrote: ».I did have a trust deed0 -
but surely the ppi is a separate issue as its money i shouldnt have had to have paid in the first place, making my loan/credit card more expensive.0

thats why they are refunding the amount paid, plsu any interest associated with it if the account would have been in credit at any time if the ppi payments weren't made.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Ok guys, thanks for the help.here is a quick update.spoke to someone from Canada Square this morning after sending an email to Ian Clark last night.they basically said the reason i was only getting £51 was my debt had been sold to a debt company in 2007.I got in touch with the company that administered my trust deed.(which finished 2010)and they said that as the debts were under the trust deed which i was released from in 2010 the money was mine and they couldnt withhold it.i got back in touch with Canada Square and they said fine but they also want to check that the trust deed company dont want it.so fingers crossed i should get my £460.0

Canada square formely EGG banking are gettint a reputation for this. I myself have been waiting 6 weeks for the acceptance cheque. I have sent letters but had no reply. I made a complaint to the operations dept and if no reply after 8 weeks the ombudsman will step in to look at the case. It is very important everyone with this problem contacts the ombudsman as if there is a common problem they will be fined. Lloyds were fined 4 million a few weeks ago for delaying payments.0
