Nice one. Congrats.
Working on the same timescales, as my confirmation of acceptance was 6th Feb I'm hopeful of something this week :j0 -
Thanks TopCat,
It might be worth giving Canada Square a ring, the guy I spoke to yesterday said they put the cheque reference number on the account when the cheque has been sent so they would be able to tell you if it had been sent, although having said that, yesterday he said there wasn't a ref on it but it arrived today?!?
Anyway, good luck hope your cheque arrives soon :j0 -

Cheers. I'm going to start phoning if it hasn't arrived by end of next week (I would expect them to fob me off with the "20 working days" line if I call before then).
It's like being a kid - am desperate to get my hands on the cash and not prepared to wait. That said 11.5 k (mine and wife's combined) is pretty major. Will make life a hell of a lot easier0 -

Ha ha I know what you mean, I was expecting an offer of a couple of 100, was shocked when they said £3500, I know I should do something sensible with the money but instead am booking two holidays this year, can also help out my best friend who is struggling at the moment, happy days :T:j0 -

I posted off my acceptance form along with proof of my address on 2nd Feb. I rang them on 6th Feb to see if they had received it, they hadn't. Called again on the 8th and they had. I was informed that my cheque was being ordered and I should get it within 20 working days. I await with baited breath...WHOOP WHOOP!!!Got my cheque today £5798. That's 9 working days from the date on the acceptance letter. Much quicker than I expected. I'm in the process of buying a house so that'll be going towards that.:j:beer::j:beer::jStarting mortgage balance 22/04/2013 £71,250

Hello all, looking for a bit of advice.
My wife has had a claim upheld for a loan with egg.
We have recently moved overseas for work reasons, and she asked for any correspondence to be sent to her parents address. My wife was briefly back in the country earlier this month, so signed the agreement and returned the form.
Her parents have now said another letter has been received, asking for bank statements or utility bills as proof of address. Now we are confused as to which address they are refering to. The original loan, and letter from canada square operations (they contacted her) are for our address, so is it the original address they need? Or because we have asked for any correspondance to go to her parents address, is that what they are referring to? Hopefully not the latter, as she has no bills in her name there.
Its no big deal for the cheque to be sent to our original address (or direct paid into the account), but we just need to know where we stand.
As we are overseas, our prefered method of contact would be by phone or email.......so we can deal with this asap, but its a massive struggle finding any contact information for CSO apart from an address to write to.
Can anyone offer advice?
Thanks0
