MSE News: Vodafone to raise pay monthly prices

Sorry if I'm being a thicko,but I don't get it !
I've got an iPhone 4S contract till 03/14. The contract is £41 pm. 900mins unlimited text 750 data. I never go over my allowance but the last few bills have been between £46-£57 for out of bundle call charges and non inclusive numbers. So how does this effect me with regards to the increases next month? Have I got a case for compliant?
Thanks
Yes. Any time you go over your bundle by more than the current RPI amount because of any chargeable calls you make, you can immediately cancel your contract with no cancellation charge. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Hello!
I've written a letter to Vodafone, citing their announced price increase as effective termination of a Vodafone contract with approximately 12 months remaining. 6 days after sending this letter to Vodafone, a text message was received from them, providing a PAC code.
Well, you seem to be the only person from the thousands last year and this who has managed this ! Or maybe, of course, your bank account will be hit with a 12-month rental charge if you use the PAC code.
I would advise others to just wait and see if that proves to be the case. Otherwise, I can't see what the Regulator is currently giving consideration to as far as mid-term increases go if Voda simply fold and allow you to cancel mid term with no penalty.0 -
Have just tracked back and found a text from Vodafone 4/10 telling me about the price increase. After following the link my price plan will go up to £41.95.
So I think I'll use ninjahog template and give it a go. My plan is to hopefully cancel keep the handset? And go onto one of their rolling sim only plans for half the price as I think the phone is locked into Vodafone0 -
Sorry ninhog ! Lol0

Sorry, you lost me there. I have also recently gone over my bundle minutes with chargeable calls. Can I cancel too?0 -

I just got a lovely phone call from Web relations (see my previous post) who were most helpful. Offered a better phone and all together better t&c's than what am on now....
Lovely.....seriously any probs with V* get onto web relations. I emailed NinHog's letter all over the place and it had no effect
. I've also posted it so time will tell....

Did they respond to the emailed letter? Don't forget, Vodafone require your signature (as per the T&Cs and letter) so if emailed, Vodafone are unlikely to be able to act upon your instructions without this.0 -
I sent so many emails to vodafone I have like no idea...
I think they did....Guy whatsit didn't but web relations and that directors office email certainly did...
Hope I haven't shot self in foot though (like hope the S3 is all everyone says it is) as I have an LT15i xperia arc which is not the greatest shall we say but not the worst as I've agreed to currently a £40 a month contract (for basically the same as I get now - anyone any idea what it will be after the price increase?) and I have to pay £189 initial fee. But then vodafone were quite adamant today on the phone I wouldn't get out of paying the early exit fee so I took the next best thing

I'm still confident that my letter exploits a loophole, or at least a different interpretation of Vodafone's own Terms & Conditions. How can they prove that you haven't been caused significant inconvenience/disadvantage? They can't.
Customer Services don't always quite grasp what you're trying to say and under normal circumstances, they'd correctly tell you that you'll have to pay to terminate the contract.
However, this isn't normal circumstances. Vodafone have made changes which have caused significant inconvenience/disadvantage, which means that they've effectively terminated the contract themselves.
Stick to your guns and be sure to remind them that you're simply acting in accordance with Vodafone's own Terms & Conditions.0
