What is the device and what netwrok are you on, currently few people on Virgin & T-Mobile are having issues as there is something wrong with the T-Mobile GPRS(Virgin is using T-Mobile's infrastructures), I would suggest retry after sometimes, Its worth trying the service as this is the future of banking.

500 Server Error then Time Out Errors. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice idea but it's just too hard to set up. Whether it's a problem with the phone, network or Moonilink it really doesn't matter. I've set up my phone for other services before with no problem - but not this one....!!

I've followed all instructions and setup as per Virgin's instructions. Still it doesn't work.

  • Yes, as emanas has kindly pointed out there are issues ith T-Mobile and Virgin. We are working with them both to get these issues resolved.

I will post in this thread once we have confirmation that the issue has be solved.

    arggggggggggggggggggggggggh!

what a flaming nightmare! my phone has accepted all downloads and done everything it is meant to (its is a new fangled beast), but won't accept the 10 digit activation code...even though the window where you enter it has a 10 digit space....what the flaming nora is going on there then?!

I have given up, it is too much effort than is worth..£10 is not a lot of money after all if you really have to work hard for it. (Technology is great when it works...)

BTW correct me if i am wrong, but didn't the monolink T & C's state that only the first 30,000 people would get the free tenner? I am guessing after it went out on Martins email that a) a lot of people won't be getting their free tenner, or b) they have increased that limit due to the large number of downloadees..

    whats the score, monolinksupport?

    cheers '-)
  • hope this works, waiting for activation code through the post.

if its only the first 30,000 people only, thats 300,000 they are giving away!! surely thats alot to be launching a service!

and does anybody know if i register another account on another fone, will i be eligible for another tenner?

I just registered my FD, i also have a HSBC account too

I was beginning to wonder that, myself. Seems that if T-Mobile and Virgin don't pull their collective finger out, their customers will be out of luck on this one.

Mind you, I'm impressed with the communication from Monilink support - I've had a PM and a phone call today to apologise for the problems with T-Mobile and that they're working to get things sorted ASAP, and that's on top of the updates on this thread.

Who knows Steveeeeee, they could contact the people on Virgin and T-Mobile who've attempted to sign up and give them the tenner as a sign of good will?

Go on MONILINKSupport, you know you want to :T

  • This is NOT an error with MONILINK - You are entering the Card Activation Code into the box where you are supposed to enter your passcode/pin number.
