Just to report everything went fine for me. Got activation code through the post, started up the java client, told to update, did that, entered passcode then activation code and then asked for a balance enquiry. Very useful, takes less time than telephone banking and probably costs just as much!0

Sorry, T-Mobile, using a Nokia 6170.0 -
I've tried and tried to get this service to work since First Direct launched the thing, let alone now there is a real incentive to use it. I get the following error using a K800i on T-Mobile (used to get it on O2 as well before I ported):
"We are sorry but your mobile network is not compatible with the service. Most mobile networks do support our service for an up to date list please see monilink.co.uk"
This is very disappointing particularly as First Direct used to have a perfectly good (and FULLY featured) wap banking service and now we're left with this half-baked banking service.
Shame I actually started to believe that 30p might not be so much to find out if your salary had gone in on time.
In every instance I've tried to install the product over the last couple of months I've heard nothing from Monilink and First Direct don't want to help as they keep directing me to MoniLink!

Well, I now have it in my applications on my Siemens S65 on Virgin network, and I can get as far as Testing Connection but then get "GPRS connection failure" come up. I've got really frustrated with it and it just seems to be costing me to keep trying, I'm thinking it just isn't worth it. But I am concerned now that I've started something with my bank account details that is left open-ended. Am feeling really stressed about it and going pale _pale_0

I agree. Considering that this service does have some sort of access to our banking details for it not to work first time is a worry. For all we know our phones sitting here trying to connect could be doing so with all sorts of open connections to the www!0
