Did phone the help line mentioned in one of the above posts and told the problem may lie in the Virgin network and I will be informed when it's resolved. Knowing my luck - they will probably have reached the 20 000 subscription level by then
How frustrating! It just says 500: Web service problem: Please contact the service provider. I really can't work it out - I have GPRS - maybe it's Virgin? Has anyone actually managed this on Virgin network?

Great deal but !! I have just closed my first direct as I have a low income (due to bing at home with my diabled son) and because I only have a small amount going into the account they now charge me £10 a month for the service. Thus not such a deal and I will be in debt by Sept!!!! read the small print......
if you have another product with them you dont get charged the £10, could have opened the esaver and kept £1 in it.0 -
Cheers for this
Mine worked fine just now, just wait on the letter

Thanks for this! I often read this board but have now registered to post as was more impressed than normal with a free tenner!
Didn't take long to register my Alliance & Leicester account on a Nokia 6230 on Orange
Cheers!0 -
I keep getting "No response, try again" from http://wap.monilink.co.uk/checkhandset.wml. Other websites work fine.
Nokia 6170, T-Mobile, HSBC.0 -
I think it's probably a problem with t-mobile - it seems that people on Virgin (virtual network using the t-mobile infrastructure) and t-mobile are the ones with the problems with not getting it to work on phone.0

I've just tried to do this, but it doesn't seem to be possible if you have an alliance & leicester basic bank account0
