  • Great deal but !! I have just closed my first direct as I have a low income (due to bing at home with my diabled son) and because I only have a small amount going into the account they now charge me £10 a month for the service. Thus not such a deal and I will be in debt by Sept!!!! read the small print......

    I cannot download the client on orange - just times out :( Wasted 50p. I take it we cant download the client and then put it on the machine via a cable?

    If your job pays you more than £5 an hour, go to work instead. £10 isn't worth it for the hassle of forms, downloads, browser checks, phone updates...

    Arghhhhh! No luck for me. I finally got my W810i set up properly. Now the register page for First Direct is now down. HSBC and A&L are still up? WHY DO YOU MOCK ME???? :P

    If you opened an e-savings account with first direct, you are exempt from the monthly charges.
