Thanks happy. Well it seems my chest infection has come back. Now trying some different antibiotics in hope that it'll do the trick. This is my fourth lot, as well as steroids, inhalers and anti-inflammatorys over the past two months. What is going on?!?! Just want to feel well and normal again and be rid of this awful awful cough

On a brighter note, I noticed a small weird transaction on my statement last night so queried it with said people taking the monies and bank. The company concluded that it was my details but most def not my name and addresss held as customer. Turns out it's linked with some fraud that happend with my account back in Dec 2009! All being well it'll be refunded so will be a nice little sum to help me through the Xmas period. What's really bad is that I didn't notice this transaction!!! :o:o:o Just goes to show that i'm not 100% on the ball. That said I rarely check my transactions/statements. Guess I can see it as a little savings acc I didn't know I had going on :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Just sat here thinking to myself that 2012 is nearly over so I really need to be thinking about goals/aims for 2013. I can think of one so far and that is being debt free! I think I say this every year but for once, it's actually an attainable target :j

What else, well i'd love to have an addition to the choc household before the year is out....however mother nature plays her part in that one so we shall see.....build some savings.....overpay the mortgage.....holidays.....hmmm.....lots to think about. The main think i'm going to focus on for now is the debt and money management. I still think I could do better. Actually, I know I could do better as I still waste money here and there on stupid things and all because I am bored.......

    .....back to pondering.........
  • Hi Choc

I am feeling the ponderings too. I keep writing down what I can do debt wise but I don't want to put unattainable targets that may end up causing disappointment.

Originally I had thought if we are really tight with money we can be debt free in the summer I reckon. However we want a holiday abroad and will need a new fridge and washing machine so I think I have to realistically think it will be later on in the year. I am trying to convince myself that my deadline is next Xmas and anything earlier is a bonus! Will have to take each month as it comes!

    Hey Kel,

It's all about finding the right balance - very hard though. You are doing fab!

For me it's got to be about clearing the debts and then repairing my credit rating as prev on dmp before I managed creditors myself. Checked my credit report and some have kindly noted up to date, some payment arrangement and some default/late payments although I am going to write to those that have and at least ask them to note it as arrangement to pay as I have kept up my side of agreement with them - we shall see.

Think looking at that (not that I want any more credit) has spurred me on. I just think longer term in a few years time when hubby and I want a bigger property. We shall see.

Still mulling my 2013 dreams.....becoming debt free just seems the most obvious at the minute along with having a little one but that again is only going to happen when it does ;)

  • Hi choc and orange, yes it seems 2013 is a sniff away and plans targets need to be drawn out :)...Alas mine will be pay down the negative wealth, successfully manage a realistic budget get a bun in the oven lol ... I will probably join the pay as much off in 2013 challenge. I love making new targets my diary is full of them but i take it on the chin we are all heading in the right direction and thats whats matters. Choc i hope the new tablets make you better xxx

Can't believe it's Monday already!! Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. Am feeling much better today, I think the antibiotics have kicked in. Fingers crossed this is it and it's gone for good.

I managed a bit of overtime this weekend. Not as much as I had hoped as couldn't get logged onto server but anything is better than nothing. It'll come in December pay, making Christmas that little bit easier financially.

This week sees me focusing on a few nsd's and eating well. Something i've not managed much of either lately. Today should be a nsd as food covered and healthy eating. I've taken the dog for a walk so that'll be my exercise. Can't manage much more yet but def plan on building up slowly now i'm on the mend and can actually breathe :rotfl:

Payday on Thursday (thank goodness!!) lots of budgeting to be done and it also sees me finally clear of another debt. Woo hoo!!!!!!! :D:j:D

  • Hi choc, thats great to hear that your feeling more like you yippeeee :). • Well yesterday didn't end up being a nsd so bit frustrated at that:mad: Will aim for one today instead, don't think I have any planned expenses for now. Only 2 more days until payday, can't wait as it means I clear another debt in full. Although not looking forward to the extra 500 quid being taken from my account. Nov-Dec pay is going to be soooooooooooooooo tight

Right best get back to work, only quickly popping on. Watch this space for a NSD!
