Same here, the message I got after applying to switch was rather vague, so I sent a message, they replied yesterday confirming I'd been switched and would receive a new card after my statement date.0 -
Hi all,
I got a confirmation email from Barclaycard that my cashback application has been approved and should receive card with seven days, however there was no mention of credit limit on the email.??? Is it now normal cos on my previous Barclaycard application I recieved the same but with credit limit.
Also as I now will have two barclaycards, will I be able to see/maintain both the cards on mybarclaycard link.
Thanks in Advance.0 -

I was told that you can manage both cards on mybarclaycard but you need to register new ones.Money is a wise mans religion0 -
1. Its says insurance policies are not covered for cashback. does this mean insurance on unemployment taken with the card like PPI, or for actual spend on the car, say a car insurance policy?
2. in the first months, there is a limit of £120 for the 6%. However if you had a large spend on your top 6 spends, could you get higher than this by virtue of the 2% rule if you do 15 transactions +.
ie 1 spend at £10000 and 14 spends at £1. how much cashback would you get from month 1, as even at 2% you'd get more than £120.
3. I have 4 differnet barclaycards of differing types, all with zero balances and differing credit limits. can you move limits between cards if you want to?
Many thanks MIK0 -

1. I take this to mean using this card to pay for insurance policies will not acrue cashback which sucks a little bit.
2 and 3. I think you should wait for a reply from the Barclaycard representative on these.
BTW does anyone know if you get any purchase protection on the cashback card?
Edit: Yes they do which is good. Going to have a read of this. http://www.barclaycard.co.uk/personal/new-reward-cards/cashbackGraduated 16 July 2013 with First Class Honours :jHouse Deposit: £6,493.10 - Cashback Total: £447.670 -

As far as insurance goes, I'm almost certain this refers to payment protection or something that is applicable to ensuring the payments are met if you become unemployed or whatnot.
Paying for your car insurance is a purchase, and (on every credit card I've ever used) is treated as such. Therefore, cashback should accrue as normal.
Though, if I'm wrong, feel free to correct me0 -

I really hope you're right! Reading the phrase in context suggests you are as all the other non-eligible items seem to be charges you pay to Barclaycard themselves. It could be more clear though.
3.3 By “Eligible Purchases” we mean any card purchases you or an additional cardholder make with your Barclaycard Cashback card. It excludes balance transfers, insurance premiums, interest, default charges, other fees and charges, any item charged to your Cash Balance(such as Gaming or Cash-Like Transactions), refunded purchases and purchases made for business purposes.
Has anyone taken a closer look at the purchase protection and extended warranty? I don't know if this is standard practice because I don't think I've had this before but there are so many exceptions.Graduated 16 July 2013 with First Class Honours :jHouse Deposit: £6,493.10 - Cashback Total: £447.670 -
