Both actually:) And no I will not be posting any more on this thread, I am being polite to you all, despite some of the unhelpful comments. Would you prefer I go hang myself because you do not agree with the decisions I have made?i just asked your opinions. I have nothing against any of you, and I am neutral in my feelings towards you, I am off to spend sometime with all my children now Enjoy your evening whatever you chose to fill your time doing:)

And..... drama queen stomps off slamming door behind her.

The truth hurts sometimes. I truly hope that those children get what they deserve.

It doesn't matter if they have been on 10,000 holidays with their Dad it's a holiday with you so it's irrevant. Would you not buy your older two a Christmas present if they were getting something expensive from their Dad?

All the same or it will create a larger divide what you say is already there. Also they may think it was their Step Dads idea if there are already issues. Just makes it a whole lot worse. X

I would still go on holiday:) Without the 2 older ones......
And I think I will buy all 3 of them an I pad each for joint birthdays and xmas presents. (this is what I was planning on doing, but I just wanted to see what "responsible" parents opinions were:)
Thanks again I will let you debate away:)

    That says it all really.

Leave the woman alone. You're like a pack of wolves. She asked for opinions, she got many strong opinions and has engaged in debate.

There's not much left to say (well nothing constructive) and so she's moving on. It doesn't mean she's having a tantrum.

I have to say I agree. I'm surprised at some of the later comments. The thread isn't helpful now.

You can't make someone act differently, all you can do is offer an opinion and hope it's taken on board. If not, then move on. No need to hit the OP with a big (virtual) stick because she wont do what we think she should.

I agree. I think the OP has indeed been very polite. She did set herself up for critism, but she has taken it and has acknowledge some suggestions. She has stated that things have happened in the past. She might not be the best mother in the world, she might be under the influence of her partner, but she is not willingly setting out to hurt her children.

It's fair enough to be blunt, but being rude and sarcastic isn't called for.

I found it shocking that a mother would ask the question "Unfair or not" in the first place.

I disagree. OP used enough sarcasm herself to justify it in response. A lot of threads like this seem to be started by people who want validation for a choice they have made that they feel uncomfortable with and when it doesn't happen, they get defensive and flounce.
