Unfair or not?

Thank you for all your replies:) We have a holiday planned next year for all of us, it was just this year that I needed a break from the older 2! I know it is selfish of me. If I could go back in time I might just have booked a holiday for my husband & I, but I don't know if this is just hindsight speaking:)

Can you see how horribly rejected a teenager would feel to hear that? You're her mum, you're the one person in the entire world who's supposed to love her and want her around the most and you don't.

You're a family unit, there's no 'inviting' in a family unit. It should be assumed that on things like holidays, everybody is automatically included.

Can I ask whether the responses have made you re-evaluate things, or would you still stand by your decisions with regards to both the holiday and the presents?

I've needed a break from mine - not just them, but everything. Shoot me But that means all of them, not some of them. Not that I would put it as such to them

Off out now ( playing darts for me time, sorry!) so if I don't respond to any criticism, I've not gone off in a huff:rotfl:

I would still go on holiday:) Without the 2 older ones......
And I think I will buy all 3 of them an I pad each for joint birthdays and xmas presents. (this is what I was planning on doing, but I just wanted to see what "responsible" parents opinions were:)

Do you think this situation is funny, a joke, not real? You seem very blase about it all, or do you not want to engage in your thread anymore? Fair enough, but I don't really understand why you posted in the first place now.

Ah, so first of all it was due to giving younger child a holiday after not having any but now it's because you needed a break from the older two? Nice.
