Just found out my son is experimenting with other boys

Hi troubled Mum are you upset he is indulging in promiscuous behaviour or is it because he is perhaps gay or bisexual?

If he is gay or bi-sexual then that is who he is, you can only accept it in the same way that you accepted that his eyes are blue or brown or that his hair is blond or brunette.

By 18 he probably knows, but it is only now that he is acting on his feelings.

I can understand that this takes the wind out of your sails, but he is still your boy and needs your unconditional love as much if not more than ever.

I am surprised that the subject hasn't come up before, is this because he knows you would disapprove?

Having a gay or bi-sexual child does not have to be tough, especially if you accept it is just a part of who he is, there is a lot less stigma around nowadays.

The promiscuous behaviour however is much more of a worry IMHO.

so what! love him for who he is, your child. you are not helping him with your own frets and worries, you should love him regardless.

A few years ago my daughter told me she though she was gay, then bi and now she is straight.

I was proud that she could talk to me about it and because i have always said "dont be a sheep be a shepherd"

I love her and i dont care what her sexuallity is

I don't understand why you would feel sick to your stomach?

Your son is alive and well so what if he is experimenting. As long as he is careful i dont see the issue.
