  • I`ve just received the Capital One card offer. Thought, too good to be true! Read every word of all the small print (got a headache now) and couldn`t fault it. I appear to have been offered the Full Free Monty! No minimum spend, no BT charge and at the end of the 18 months an APR of 9.9%, not that I will be using it.
I`m BT`ing all the debt from my Halifax One card, which itself was a free 6 month BT.
The code at the bottom of the page is 8453/SEP. Deadline 29 Oct 2004.
The blurb says my balance should be transferred in 7 working days! I`ll try to keep you posted. :)
  • The better of the two offers was also received by my better half ::) Having also read through the t&c's this is a great offer. The small print under the application address reads "If you wish, you may pass this pack to a friend who might want to apply." So I've stolen it and will hopefully max it out for all its worth......Just a quick question though on another topic if I may.....If I credit my Amex card, does the facility exist to use Amex as a Super Balance Transfer card or will I have to transfer a 'negative balance' using egg or similar for the SBT effect ???

  • Hi all
I am new to this forum but have been watching this Capital One offer, as yet received nothing in post. But in todays You magazine (Mail on Sunday) - sorry Martin I had a Capital One application for "The Real Deal" 0% Fixed for 18 months, 7.0% Long term rate for BT's (looks a bit misleading as its 11.94% after 18 months) rates will follow base rates. No mention of minimum purchase spend, 3% minimum repayment, 0.5% purchase rebate. Reference Numbers 8454-100 and SF000650, appears to be application by post only. Anybody else seen this, is this a 'similar' deal to the one offered by post, it looks too good to pass up.
    Cheers
  • Hi Donnandy,

I too found that flyer in the mail on sunday pack and as you say is does seem to be a good deal with no mention of a minimum spend and and as you say only drawback is a 3% repayment. Reference Numbers 8454-100 and SF000650 are exactly the same on my form. Only thing i other thing i couldn't find was an expiry date for applications. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

  • Morning All,

Mail on Sunday flyer seems to be the one to go for. No minimum spend, no balance transfer fee, and I can't see any expiry date. If there is anything I have missed, let me know by teatime or it's in the post.

    Regards

I have been reading through the thread, and it seems to me that there are several different offers out there?

I have one from the SKY magazine ref 8454-101 and as hard as i try I cannot see any min spend or post by date. I don't need it, so offers please to........ :P
NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!
  • There are indeed many different offers - all the ones coming through our door are only for 6 months! Is this a north/south divide thing or is there something my friends are not telling me...? :-[

  • Hi Gobbyash

Thanks for getting this one started. It certainly has made me keep a sharp eye open for this offer which as Martin said may come in different forms with different T's & C's and it has. I've posted my application off and look forward to making the 18 months savings. Hope that there are many others who have or will benefit from what you have started.

    Cheers
