  • Many thanks to msraec, who sent me a spare application form - I posted it on Dec 1st and received a letter dated Dec 6th to say that my balance transfers would be actioned within the next 7 to 10 days.
Checked with Egg today and the money's already there - brilliant ;D

    Yippee!!

After a 7 week wait and several phone calls querying the delay, (no real explanation given), finally got my card yesterday!

Credit limit was £1K less than I'd hoped for but will still enable me to pay off existing Egg deal without touching my Cahoot stooze pot.
  • Hello, well I am the very pleased recipient of about £17k from Capital One for 18 months! Can't believe my luck - I normally miss out on these or get a v. low credit limit.

I don't know if the offer is still running but I have one of the 18 month application forms left (it was for a friend but he's been refused cards recently so doesn't want it). As I say, I haven't read all the small print to see if this offer might have expired but if anyone would like the form then I'll happily post it to the first person who sends me a PM with their name and address. No need for an SAE.

Huge thanks to the original poster of this thread. :)
  • The problem with deals like these is that it can be too easy to spend up to the limit of the card very quickly... I suppose its OK if you have a good long period to pay the card off in but it must raise the temptation to get another one because you get used to 0% spending.
  • Zain, you were first. Form is winging its way to you! Good luck with the application. Sorry to the others and no more PMs please.
