  • I'm in the same boat as all of you who have bought the iPad. I've just received an email from Chris Brown at KSA Group and here it is -

    Thank you for your email.

I believe your purchase was made from Wowbuys.com Limited. Are you able to confirm when and by what method you paid made the purchase, also if you know who the money was paid to?

According to my review of companies house Wowbuys.com has now gone into liquidation with Chatsworth and co (Insolvency practitioners), who can be reached at wowbuys@chatsworthandco.com. Hopefully the bank account should have frozen the company bank account on the insolvency practitioners appointment.

I will see what I can find out for you.

To confirm, did you make the purchase via credit card or debit card?

    Regards,

I have emailed Chatsworth and co with my situation and also replied to Chris Brown to see if he can give anymore information. I paid on Monday afternoon and my payment is still pending. I am quietly confident that the bank account of Wowbuys Limited has been frozen and my payment should just bounce back into my account.

Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope!

that is correct, thier account has been frozen but the company sold the domain (website) onto someone else - who, they dont know - chatsworth will explain all this to you if you ring them, therefore our purchase was made though this new company whos bank account has not been frozen. this "new company" although still operating under the same name, has only been operating since friday

i have been refunded as credits to the online account, this is the only refund they provide as stated in thier Ts & Cs. one big scam. also if you read Ts & Cs they dont provide the items anyway, they sell vouchers only. please read Ts and Cs its a pain but alot becomes clear as to how big a scam this is and they have covered thier back in the Ts and Cs.

i would suggest people report to watchdog, as i have done, it takes 2 minutes to fill out a brief form on thier website. As this is linked to NHS (some of the emails promoting thier services have come direct from NHS internal emails, the site itself has no links to NHS) there may be something likely to be done, also report to action fraud 0300 123 2040 and local police, if you wish to complain about your bank not willing to stop a pending transaction report to financial ombudsman 0800 023 4567, with all its very quick and easy to file a report and if everyone affected does it then there is more likely something to be done, i have done all of the above
  • Wish I had read this on Monday....I too purchased an IPAD2 off the website , should have know the price was to good to be true. My payment is still pending and I have telephoned the credit card company today so if the payment is taken they can pursue this.

Has anyone received any of the goods they are supposed to have bought ?

in response to Luna29412, if you read the full T & Cs, nhs discounts do not supply the goods, they simply provide the buyer with "vouchers" and you use these to redeem your goods, where from i have no idea. they obviously supply nothing. strange how they also charged me £10.99 shipping charges when they only supply online vouchers
  • I bought an Ipad on the 12th November and had an email confirming the purchase. Have checked my Bank and the money has been taken.I obviously have no chance of getting my goods.Feel sorry for everyone. I work for NHS and this came through on my work email. There is also another NHS discount website which is genuine, so thought this one was as well.
  • Oh I forgot to say my Bank says the Company who took the payment was Zappideals so how could a company in liquidation be sold and continue trading under the same name
  • I sent an email to mail@discountsdaily.com and received a response this morning which read -

    Thank you for your email.

A refund will be processed, please allow 3-5 working days for the transfer to show back within your account via method paid. These terms are standard with our merchant bank.

    Best Wishes

    Customer Care Team

Now knowing this is a scam i'm still unsure whether I will actually get the refund.

Also, the name which comes up that is connected to mail@discountsdaily.com is Navin Nandra. Could maybe start to research that name.
