i too have just seen this as i recieved an email.
i took the precaution of emailling them to cancel the order i placed on monday, the response was not automated as i suggested that someone was using it illegally and they replied that they are a NEW complany and completely legal.
alos note that the web address now includes getsocio.com...... could this be the mysterious webdesign company responsible for this whole fiasco?0 -
my payment is no longer pending and back in my account :beer:
happy days, good luck all. i still closed account as precaution and because i was unhappy with the support from natwest throughout this fiasco.
natwest would only close account as payment was no longer pending, they said if it was still pending they could not close the account.
Apple fix thier product prices, therefore there are no good deals to be had on apple products - ask any customer service rep that sells apple products - this is a well known fact apparently (not that well known or i wouldnt have been through this mess!)

I cancelled my card this afternoon, checked my bank account about 15 minutes and the money has gone! The saga continues. I'm getting on to the fraud team at the bank again now.0

PS my bank (Natwest) said that the dept that deals with outgoing payments are closed over the weekend so they can't help until monday - not sure where to go now!0

hi mine was also pending until yesterday when the funds were then available in my bank called lloyds tsb last night who confirmed that funds has not left my account and there was NO pending payments on my account however have just logged onto online banking and the money has gone to zappi deals the lady at bank last night confirmed at least x4 that no funds were pending am extremely upset and now on hold to lloyds TSB fraud line. I would have closed my account last night which I did suggest to her if I would have known this would happen, she assurred me they could NOT take funds. HELP0 -

i have just cancelled my card but can't speak to the fraud line until monday. The money hasn't left my account yet. I feel so silly. i hope you get it sorted, the guy from my bank seemed quite confident that they could recover the money if it were taken. I hope yours does too - they should considering they advised you NOT to close the account. In the meantime i am requesting a refund from the website as it is within 7 days. It seems to have worked for some people. Good luck.0 -
I too ordered an iPad 2 on Monday, after reading the thread I contacted my bank today who told me the money had not left my account. They said if it does leave me account to call them and ask for disputes and they should be able to do a charge back on my debit card. Having just literally checked my bank balance I can see the money had left my account. A few of my colleagues have ordered from this website before and received their goods but I am not convinced the ipad will get delivered. I will be straight on the phone to my bank on Monday0

I think the best thing to do after reading all of the posts is to cancel your card (they still have your details), some are going as far as cancelling their accounts. Then request a refund on their website using their contact form and quoting the distance selling regulations. I am also going to copy this email to their email address mail@discountsdaily.com (see post 91 i think). Speak to your bank's fraud department to start an investigation, report to watchdog on their website and also report it to action fraud 0300 123 2040. My money is still pending and there is nothing to be done until monday but hopefully all of these things together may be successful, it has been for some other kind bloggers xx0
