Can anyone tell me how to get my tv to recognise my phone when connected via usb?
I want to play youtube etc. on my tv screen, this should be possible?
ETA - The Tv only recognises my phone when it's set to use as a camera? Although it says no usb device detected?
I have not got G300 but looking at the published specs it appears to support MHL.for directly connecting mobile phones to high-definition televisions (HDTVs)
Google MHL and you will find explanation and also MHL adapters necessary to interconnect phone USB to TV HDMI .
I have MHL on my HTC tablet and it works very well using the Samsung adapter which cost around £10 a while back.0 -
Ok i'm a happy bunny because I've now got the dictionary fix to work. I now have an unlocked G300 running on a virtually clean ICS with no Vodaphone bloatware with a working dictionary all for less than £100 and I think i'll leave it there as i'm no techie.
For those that are interested.. I tried to do the dictionary fix and it didn't work and found it needed something called ADB loaded first.. Tried to do that and got hopelessly lost and gave up.
Last night I tried to root the phone running the process several times but it kept saying there was not enough internal space but I could see it was copying SOMETHING across (Drivers?????)
Anyway after doing this I tried the "dictfix" dictionary fix again and it worked first time! No more red lines
Thanks to everyone for their help!!!The Early bird may catch the worm ...but its the second mouse that gets all the cheese!0 -

Great stuff and thats was how I managed to fix mine as well.
I believe the required drivers are installed in the root programs...0 -

Good job, although I believe if you put the Huawei utility suite program on your PC first it will probably do the same as it has G300 USB driver included too, if you didn't want to try root.0 -
I tried the dictfix and had the same message about no space etc
So I put the GO SMS app on and no worries now.
Just waiting for my case now. Then I'll pass my San Fran onto my daughter.0 -

Some networks dont support/provide delivery notices and i think Tesco/O2 is one of themWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -
Thanks Jethro, you are correct the 02/tesco doesnt support it, but i have found a fix. if you put *0# before the message it sends you a delivered report.Always on the hunt for a bargain0

I did mean Google navigation app installed, but i think this also uses Google maps, so either could be responsible for switching off data reception when you close it.
Hi
Sorry about the delay in replying, we've been away in wildest Wales for a long w/e
Last night Mrs B was WhatsApp'ing daughter2 perfectly using EE mobile data
Charged the phone overnight and put it onto silent
Took it off charge this morning and turned volume back to max
When we got home this evening *my* phone received the whatsapp that she had sent me this morning!!
I guess that as her mobile data had switched off sometime, the whatsapp only got sent when she hit our home wi-fi ???
We 'swiped' the screen to the left and all the 'marks' were 'on' for wi-fi, data, rotation & brightness and 'off' for bluetooth, BUT when we went to 'settings', 'more', 'mobile networks', we found that 'data enabled' was un-ticked.
Running ICS OS on 'Orange'
Any suggestions0
