But that says 'for vodafone' which I ain't! :cool:0 -
but if the phone was bought on Voda, and you're using a TMob sim, surely at some point you must have unlocked the phone?
As far as I know (and I stand to be corrected...) this phone has never been sold on TMob?0 -
So ........... are you suggesting that each time we leave the house we will have to check this
good news I think I have the solution - a free app!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jcandksolutions.networkcontrolfree
Install and go to settings (skip tutorial)
set Enabled
Selected Networks - Both
Set Mobile data depends on wifi.
Should do it.. set mobile data on, and then wifi. mobile data should switch off automatically after wifi connects.
Now if wifi is lost (go out of range or unplug router) within a few seconds (30 max) mobile data should be switched on automatically. Without any notifications or questions!
Now go back into wifi range and mobile data goes off, wifi connects again shortly.
Note: always having either mobile data or wifi on will eat battery, I find mobile data is often more economical than wifi but it depends on how much data you want to munch.0 -

A few settings in ICS to ensure the maximum snappiness..
Settings - developer options.
Force GPU rendering should be ticked to make use of the graphic acceleration where the phone finds possible (does not seem to affect stability at all)
Windows Animation Scale
Transition Animation Scale
The lower number the option selected the quicker it is (ie 10x is slowest) set both to OFF, you won't see much loss in the interface but it will be its quickest.0 -

[How do we 'install' it?] - cancel that question, I sorted it - leave it with us .............................................0 -
Hi Sillygoose
Was looking to change to a clean version of ICS, to get rid of all the vodaphone stuff, but the link to download the zip file in your post 372 seems to be dead now:

Looked around yesterday but couldn't find an alternative link for this. Can you help?
Many thanksIt is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.
