Is my phone knackered ? Huawei Ascend G300

It has started rebooting itself at random times but today when it tried to reboot, it ended up freezing on the huawei ascend logo.

First time I was clicking to go to facebook app
Second time I was writing a facebook status
3rd time, I had just spoke to my OH and finished the call

Each time, I had to take battery out and then put it back in

Could be dying. I sometimes find random locks and reboots to be due to tired battery contacts and the battery making a momentary circuit break when handled, the phone holds enough power for a fraction second to stay up but the processing crashes with the volt dip.

Take the battery out and check the contacts are not pushed in on the phone, you can try experimenting with a bit of tape or layers on the battery sometimes to see if when the back cover is put on it presses the battery in a bit firmer. (the cycles of heat from it can make plastic deform a bit so it doesn't sit in as well as it used to.)

Its worth a try for nothing otherwise it could be lots of things and probably time to change.

    Thanks sillygoose :)

I've downloaded all pdfs and photos this afternoon and took off unwanted apps as well.
Will see how it goes and start saving up :( the TV's on its way out as well but I can forgive it cos I've had it at least 8 years (and it's still semi working as long as you give it 10 mins to heat up)
