I've just read the first page and don't think I could stand a further ten if they're also filled with similar arguments ! Do you still have to haggle to get it at that price and can non-customers get it instore?

It's 17 pages now but not to worry the deal expired a few days ago.

My G300 was still going strong but a 16GB Moto G for under £100 was to much of a temptation.

BTW Argos have a new G300 for £54.99 if you want it but you will have to hurry there is only one left! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vodafone-Huawei-Ascend-G300-Mobile-Phone-/331151571133?pt=UK_Mobile_Phones&hash=item4d1a2bf8bd

I wouldn't! .. Argos outlet on Ebay have the Virgin ZTE Blade Mini Q current at £49.99 (+£3.95 delivery). I think buying via this channel you avoid having to buy the £10 airtime they make you buy in store.

Its very similar specification to G300 but dual core, more ram, much quicker, you can get unlock codes off ebay easily for a few quid and the there is virtually no bloat or branding on it. It a nice slim handset, feels good.

Well the wife's G300 also bit the dust exactly a year after purchase in the same way mine did after a year! Not sure if they had a built in self destruct prog or what!

Anyway, Huawei were great as before and replaced the board in under a week. Not sure if it still has the built in self destruct though!

    Now £59.99 + £3.95 = £63.90.

Still a good deal? We have the G300 and the Moto G.

    Thanks.

Love the Moto G. Nothing to touch it for the price (atm)

Yes and no, agree any day that a Moto G is way better, but I would give an 11 year old a £60 phone but not a £139 one! (in my case)

I say £139 because the Moto G doesn't have a memory card slot so that would be the price of the larger 16GB one on Tesco (easily unlocked)

Whilst the ZTE Blade is only 4GB it has a slot so a cheap 32GB could be slotted in later.

Only £60 with free delivery from Sainsburys, doesn't seem to need a compulsory top up either..

locked but very cheap to get unlock code on ebay almost instantly. Very little Virgin customisation either, almost non at all. No case branding either. Nice grippy rear cover too.

    hi hope someone can help

    I have a huawei G300 Ascend

had it for a while- about 2 years now .got it unlocked via ebay,as per instructions earleir on this thread.

use a virgin sim. works fine in the Uk

now we are on holiday in france. i bought the data roaming from virgin
got confirmation text from them telling me I'm ready to roam.

I cant get logged on. Wifi is fine, but mobile interenet not working

    under settings
    wireless & networks
    mobile networks:
both data enabled turned on,and data roaming turned on

Ive tried taking the battery out - while phone on as recommended , to no avail.

    I've noticed under menu:
    settings
    about phone
    status
mobile network state : "disconnected" even with data enabled and data roaming both on

ithe status page doesnt allow me to change the disconnected
tried virgin technical services - been on hold for too long, costing me stupid sums to ring from abroad, so gave upp

any wise techies out there who may be able to help me?

    much appreciated

(will post also on techie board, moderators please move /delete to right place)

    thanks in advance
