How on earth do you deal with eight identical phones at a family dinner?
:D Luckily, there are only 2 in our actual house but we did have a family gathering a couple of weeks ago and there were 5 of the blighters in attendance that day - we put them all on the coffee table, side by side.
It is now called the 'family phone'!

I have just got Tom Tom sat nav app working on mine, seems to cope OK, plenty of memory is so useful.
I have a Huawei 3G Dongle also on my laptop, I use it every day for work and its survived a hard life last few years.0 -

You need a (2gb min) SD card formatted.
Download the V100R001C203B940.zip file, 2nd link on THIS PAGE (you may have to sign up to download) onto your PC then unzip the 'dload' folder and its contents from the zip file to the SD card (root folder, not under another folder).
Edit: probably best to unzip all the zip file folders and contents to SD card just in case
Edit: Turn off fast boot in settings on phone - shouldn't matter but just in case.
Make sure phone is charged, SIM out, SD card in, hold down and keep held BOTH volume buttons whilst powering up - if all is well you should get ten minutes of messages and then a reboot. Be patient, 1st boot can take a long time.
If during powering up all you get is stuck on a blank pink screen it means you told it to update but it didn't find one, need to check the SD card is not corrupt and the dload folder containing the large update.app file is there.
Some people have had an issue with this ROM to do with turning wifi on/off but only those that used CWM and flashed over other ROMS without erasing properly in between. The above update method over-writes the lot so no one has seen the issue with it done this way.
NOTE If you want to root it you will need a ICS unlocker now not one for the previous version!
Only customisation is a Velcom (Belarus' 2nd largest phone operator apparently!) splash screen on a cold boot, has Google apps and Play installed, after that install what you like.
Final note, the above should work even with a virtually bricked phone, useful if your messing about with CWM or Rooting and mess up so it won't boot.
See further post below if problems, including how to go back to stock Vodaphone Android 2.3.
Well just shows what an idiot I am as I don't know what you mean by both volume buttons - is there more than one - or do you mean just push the rocker straight in? Perhaps I am too stupid to attempt this!!0 -

... life would be so much simpler if Tesco just had crates of them at £65 like they did, I would have a spare too.
I phoned Very on their freefone number tonight.
"Oh yes, I can see that we tried to call you earlier today - maybe they were trying to do a security check? Their dept is closed now, maybe call back tomorrow and we can sort it out"
Maybe, just maybe0 -

I think there's every chance. With the exception of my SIL every one of the family members who have bought this phone through Very or Isme have had a call to 'verify' you are who you say you are - they ask stuff like how long you have lived at the address, who else lives there (?) etc then if you pass this grilling the order is then confirmed. Good luck!0 -

the volume is a sort of rocker but you can also hold both sides down together, bit tricky - but its meant to be! - hold one side with one thumb, then press the other side with the other thumb, hold firm then press power up button with forefinger, if you slip or mess up - nothing will happen. You may get a boot menu under some circumstances but you can just exit that (volume rocker select options, power to select I think. Just exit and try again)

Off topic but me calling British Gas earlier..
Me: I want to give you my final readings as requested.
BG: can I ask why you are leaving us?
Me: because your more expensive.
BG: I think you will find now that we only a little more expensive
Me: how does that work? you were £250 dearer when I switched and you put your prices up even more since then!
BG: Scottish power have put there prices up too so little difference.
Me: They didn't put my price up, I took a fixed price deal. Your now more like £300 more expensive!
BG: If you ever want to come back your welcome.
Me: How sweet of you, lower your prices then!!!0 -
Phone works a treat in the states :-)
I think I've managed to sell it to at least 2 people in the tour party so far :-)0 -

I've been using the built-in sat nav and so far its been better than my proper one so I'm selling that
Just said "Red Veil" and it directs me straight to the Red Veil Indian Resteraunt near where i live to pick up my wife and her friends - unlike my sat nav i dont have to tell it where (postcode, street, & town, yaaaaawn), it just knows, and when i got there it even pops up a picture of the Red Veil - and unlike my sat nav i dont have to buy maps for it & its up to date - luv it - i got a bracket for the windscreen and a charger - my proper one is now redundant
My work colleague is still flying an old Nokia so i was telling her all the stuff my new phone would do - a matter of minutes later she wanted the telephone number of Flying Horse Hotel to track a client - she was about to boot up her laptop to google it when she said "can it do that?" -i said i'll give it a try, and just said "Flying Horse, Phone" - to my total suprise it started ringing, a phone number lit up across the screen and someone said "Hello Flying Horse Hotel" - i was so shocked i put the phone down without looking at the number and we just started giggling like 2 kidsWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -

Cool! yes it is clever and getting better.. the thing I don't like Google maps/nav is it doesn't have very good points of interest type marking, being commercially biased it insists on showing businesses all over the place when I am more interested in just a location.
Something like TomTom has the big advantage of having onboard mapping so doesn't need a data connection, saves money and battery.
Although on foot the other day I only went online for a few seconds with Google maps in which time it seemed to have cached the entire map of Birmingham on the phone so didn't require any connection after, phone indicated app had only downloaded 300kb!0
