Is this phone any better then a brand-new-in-box Iphone 3GS off Ebay for say £130?

What's the warranty on that iphone? I've seen 60 or 90 days given (it's a full 730 days on the G300). Here's the spec comparison

    http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=2826&idPhone2=4594

The G300 is half the price and has a better spec (it should have, the 3GS is 3 years old!!) but doesn't have the 'snob' factor. I know which one I would go for. ;)

Well I've got my unlock code so it's now on O2.
Only problem is, I've had a text from O2 saying they've had problems dealing with my request for settings and to call their 0844 number at a cost of 25p.
Now I can make and receive calls and texts so no problem there. However, it doesn't seem to want to send an mms text.
I've tried to find the settings on the mobile to see if I can manually input them but no joy. Could anyone on O2 help please? If not, I'll give O2 a call.
Also when I tick the call waiting option it gives me an error message so won't work.
Other than these few teething problems, I am happy with the 'phone.

You can't set up Android via text like you can for old phones, you have to go into the mobile settings and change the APN.

    Thanks.
Did a google and found this http://nxwiki.blogspot.co.uk/2012/02/o2-uk-apn-settings-for-android-iphone.html#.UIZuWdR5mSM
Had a look on my 'phone, and it was set to Tesco Mobile which was strange as didn't buy from there!
Anyway, just sent a mms and it's gone through. :T

Now can anyone please help with the call waiting problem?
    Thanks.

I am on O2 (but business account, not PAYG) and have no problem with setting call waiting. All the tick box does is send the enable/disable codes to the network so it could be that your contract/SIM isn't include it as part the deal? dunno!

You could try manually sending the codes...
    About Call Waiting

Call Waiting alerts you that another caller is trying to contact you when you are already engaged on a call. You can activate Call Waiting using the code below, or depending on the make and model of your mobile, you can activate it through your mobile's menu (check your manufacturers guide for more details).
    • To activate Call Waiting, key * 43 # SEND

    • To cancel Call Waiting, key # 43 # SEND

    • To reject waiting call without disrupting the existing call, key 0 SEND

    • To end first call and answer the waiting call , key 1 SEND

    • To put first call on hold and take the waiting call, key 2 SEND

    • To switch between the two callers, key 2 SEND

Thanks Silygoose. Call waiting worked with this sim on my previous mobile so can't see the sim is the prob. Will try the above.
Also, just realised I can access the Internet via my wifi but not through O2. This is not a major problem as I rarely use the Internet when I'm out but I would like to have it enabled just in case.
Apologies for all the questions, but I am really thick when it comes to technology.

Your welcome, what is your O2 sim pay monthly contract or PAYG?

Cheers, useful. I'm big on warranty so fair point.

But gorilla glass V radio is also a dilemma? ;) Cheers.

No dilemma at all. gsmarena omitted the data on the G300's screen - it is most definitely Gorilla Glass. :D
