For Hisuite you probably need to put usb debugging back on.. as it allows the program to 'remote drive' the phone instead of just seeing it as a big memory stick.

I shall certainly consider this now I have found a quick way to reinstall apps. However it still takes ages to reinsert the settings for them so a bit reluctant.

I have noticed that a lot of apps now say in their bumph that they "prevent the phone from sleeping". What is the benefit of that?

I have been checking what has been using the battery overnight and that is one of the problems, the phone is constantly Awake.

I have Juice Defender on it, but that doesn't seem to stop it staying Awake.

They will still appear if you connect to your PC "as USB Drive"

If you connect "as USB" and have SD card inserted then both/2 drives will appear

Just look in the folder called "DCIM"

Personally speaking - I think you should back up your photos up Google+ - Just open the settings on your G+ app and set it to automatically backup photos and videos as you take them - each time you take a photo it will be uploaded to your G+ cloud space - you can view the photos on the internet by logging into Google - you can also share them with family & friends - even if you lose your phone - just buy a new one - login with your google account and you still have your photos

i have everything on my google web space so everything is backup up and shared across all my devices

I don't seem to be able to make this bit work somehow :cool:

It's been set to 'auto back up' for a week now, but nothing has been backed up :cool:

But ... just a minute ... there seems to be a thingy in the settings called 'back up now' ... I've pressed that and it now says 'Uploading 50 of 2469'. Now, she hasn't taken that many photos, so what are the 2469???

Auto backup should work fine & uploads photos/ videos as you take them
Just check the sub-settings which could upload only when connected to wi fi (my personal choice) or could be upload only when on WiFi and battery on charge

Once I found a manual 'back up all' setting, then id did it.

Woke up sunday morning to a totally dead G300. tried Mrs MBS's battery in it to no avail, tried leaving it on charge, pressing power button and volume button simultaneously. Nowt. rang Huawei this morning (on the 0207 number and they put me through to support, i'm not paying 0844 charges and WeQ4U was a no go ) and they have asked me to send it to them for repair under warranty, which I have now done. Will keep the thread updated as to the progress of this episode.

And now another problem ...... (sorry!)

Went out with friends yesterday, then last night I was reviewing the pictures that Mrs B had taken, then passed the phone to our friends to view. She said that it started them in a 'slideshow'. When done, she passed the phone back to Mrs B and all the pictures had disappeared :mad:

All the WhatsApp ones were there and (IIRC) one in each of the other two folders, but otherwise ... nothing.

I just looked on the Google+ and they are all there (apart from yesterdays few)
Not sure why or what. :cool:

Sounds like a setting on the phone or google, get through them menus lol
