Call customer services and ask to speak to provisioning as something is astray on your account or customer services and retail staff are missing a poss gprs checkbox/code.
Or
If they are aware of the problem ask them to transfer the credit to your old sim, should not be a problem given they know there is a fault.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
Bought this phone just over a week ago from Argos (with a new PAYG SIM) and cannot get the MMS service to work. Have spent ages on the phone with customer services putting in settings etc (even ending up unable to access the internet at one point). Everything else works and I can access the internet no problem.
The error I get is "service not activated on network". I'm told there are no bars or restrictions on it.
Went into a store today and they were most helpful and swapped the SIM for me, checked again there were no restrictions on the account. Still nothing.
Everyone I have spoken too says it should work and that the settings etc are correct.
Anyone have any ideas?
Tried my old SIM and it works just fine...obviously using that one is the solution but I have a fair bit of credit on the new card (due to topping up for holiday last week) and don't want to lose it.
Can Vodafone transfer it for me if a solution can't be found? I don't used MMS that much but as it should work I want it to!
I remember on a previous phone I had on Tesco/O2 I could not use MMS - tried absolutely everything
several calls to tesco still no joy
Someone told me that Tesco have definately NOT activated MMS (has to activated)
I called Tesco (again) with this info - very insistant on the phone - the advisor made some test whilst i was on the phone
Verdict?
It was NOT activated for MMS - the advisor called O2, had my sim MMS activated - it worked fine - i demanded a refund from Tesco for all my (50p a time) attempts to send an MMS
I say its not activated for MMS - insist they test your connectionWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -
Gave up getting it sorted in the end as they assured me once again all was fine, and got them to transfer my credit over to the old sim which is now working perfectly well.
Only thing I lost was the freebee but that served its purpose last week while on holiday so not too bothered!
Thanks for all the advice!0 -

farewell my trusty g 300 you will be in the post tomorrow
about a year ago I took out a 10 pound a month contract carphone warehouse which came with free htc phone- i used phone for about 3 months then decide to sell it on ebay £109 pounds
which is when I bought my g 300 for around about 63 pounds nett and £46 profit on a totally free phone
Used G300 for nearly a year - enjoyed it so much I decided to but another Huawei G520 quad core direct from China for a snip at £125
Just sold my old g300 for £75, few quid more than I paid for it brand newWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -
Can I ask for assistance please? (Bear in mind that basically I don't know what I'm doing!) So the story is that I got my G300 and upgraded it to ICS and now it's - oh I don't know what it's called, but it ends in B940. The phone has started to basically go nuts - it flashes from one app to another and then another etc. types by itself, starts to make calls and the only thing I can do is remove the battery. I have today updated it by pressing the power button and the volume up button and following insructions I found somewhere to factory reset. The screen, I forgot to mention, is very unresponsive. It's now a little better than it was, except that for instance when I want to see the 'About phone' in settings, I press the screen but nothing happens. I think maybe if I could downgrade to Gingerbread it might help? I truly don't know, all I do know is that my trusty G300 is virtually unusable
Any help would be gratefully received.
