@graspandsave
I bought the phone from the Sunderland metro store, and they were unaware that it was included in the deal too. They thought that because it was already reduced it wasn't included in the £15 off deal.
I decided to buy the phone anyway, as it's still a bargain at £80.
We spent the required amount (which we would have spent anyway), and the £15 came off.
I made a point of going to tell the lady that had got the phone for us, to let her know. She genuinely didn't know, and I think was going off to get herself one.0 -
Only thing thats over is the glitch that meant you dont need to spend £30 to get the discount
The banner clearly stated the offer applied to clearance phones only, so I don't understand how others have been getting £15 off £80.MillicentBystander wrote: »IME0 -

I went to the Tesco Extra this morning; there was no G300 amongst the Tesco Mobile display but the price was £100 for the Vodafone version (although OOS). So, I have no idea why the cheapest you can get it at this store is £85.

That would be 'in my estimation', right?
Could be.........:p0 -

That was my experience in the Guildford store, too. I'm in there again tonight, though, so will have another look.

Good and bad news from my local store in Banbury.
Huawei g300 was out of stock and they didn't have a clue if and when any more were coming in. Also couldn't advise me if other local stores had them in stock.
Also the £15 off any mobile was advertised and changed to include any purchase not the £30.00 initially stated up until 15th Sept. Still a good deal for any other PAYG handsets but unlikely to get The Huawei G300 which I wanted and would be a snip at just £65.00.
may pop down later on in the week to see if they have restocked0 -
Tesco are no longer selling it online and every local store in two cities I've asked don't have them in stock and don't know when (if) they will again. I really wanted to get my sister one for her birthday at this price.
People rushing out to buy one because there was a glitch frenzy then not having a clue how to root it thus not using it to its full potential make me lol.Dry January: 31/31 days. :T0 -
Even in it's current state, using Gingerbread and being non-rooted..this phone was a real steal. It's a lot of phone for the money.
Managing to root and install ICS is an added extra.
I'm sure that the networks will get around to officially releasing ICS for the phone.....but then you'll end up with ICS and network bloatware....
Rooting and rom'ing is not for the faint hearted if doing it for the first time.
I did it for the first time on the phone that I bought for my daughter at the weekend. It was a lot of very frustrating hours...but managed it in the end.
Not sure whether I would go through it all again though....well...maybe lol0 -
Not sure what I would benefit from rooting and upgrading to ICS - it does everything i want out-of-the-box
Even handles my hotmail sync much better than my HTC Desire (which was already on ICS) did
I have been humming about DIY upgrading but I dont want to brick my phone so I'll wait for the official releaseWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -
I certainly won't be rooting mine/ours as I quite like the idea of having a valid 2 year warranty thanks very much. Is rooting the new rock n roll or summat?0
