my money says your data is switched off - silly goose noticed everytime you come off wifi you get a prompt to access data/3g - if you've dont say yes it disables data/3g - you need to go to settings to enable it again

Good call, but I think the poster has a new handset and is on stock Gingerbread which I don't think has this 'feature'

(By the way did you see that I posted a permanent fix to disable the prompt on ICS? - easy to do on a rooted phone, simple text edit)

I think its just the usual, the poster either needs the right APN settings to put in manually for t-mobile or its not enabled on their sim/contract.

if its apn problem make sure you delete zny existing vodafone2 apn settings - had same problem myself until I deleted existing settings

having been w/out a phone for months on end...really about time for me to get one.

thing is i've never had a smart phone - but this appears to be great deal all round.

but i've got so many questions. but before all that, are these phones still around for £65 or less??

got my samsung 10" tablet from santa - figured I stick to wifi only version

here at my mums for the day - she dont got wifi and my tab dont got 3g :eek:

my g300 came to the rescue


settings ,tethering, set wifi password

my samsung tablet is now sucking 3g from g300

no slouch either - in fact my boys ipad is wifi only so he's hooked up and sucking off my g300 too

g300 is definatly a class act for a lousy £70 ish

in fact its now been nominated as the best £70 i've ever spent

Wee question for you does the password set in configure wi fi hotspot? this looks right to me but i just want to make sure that everyone cant use the wi-fi from my phone without the password?
