I even had to resort to Pink-Winged's trick of spraying the polish into the air before OH came home.
Haribo, I have in the past requested hubby takes the laptop to his work so that I have no excuse:D
And my trick is to take the hoover out the cupboard, pull all the cable out, plug it in and leave it sitting in the middle of a room. Always makes it look like I was "busy" just before he come home :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Morning folks
Not a very nice day here - wet and gloomy.
Stepson is away to school camp this week so hubby and I have been taking advantage and out on the razzle. Monday night we went out for a meal and then a drive as it was such a nice night, Tuesday again out for a meal ( ) and last night we went to the pub to watch the football and I did get just a wee bit tipsy :rotfl: . Dunno what is on the agenda for this evening yet.
However all this going out straight after a week of flu means the house is a tip so today I shall be getting on with:
- 2 (maybe 3) loads of washing
- sort out all paperwork and post that is lying about (and there seems to be a lot)
- tidy/dust/hoover living room
- clean/tidy kitchen
If I manage all that then I may do a bit of ironing and sort out the bedroom as well but I don't want to get carried away
Off for a browse and see what I have been missing.
Bye for now0 -
Good luck today Donna hope it goes smoothly will be thinking of you
((((((((((hugs)))))))))
Kyle try and get some rest when lo is asleep ((((((((((hugs))))))))))

Morning all:hello:
MUST DO IRONING! There, I've said it out loud, now I have to do it. Please feel free to chastise me if I don't.
This house is a tip. I've managed to let every single room become a midden. I must must must get a grip.
Work today (doing some (I'll never get through it all) ironing before I leave). then coming home for sausages and cauliflower mash for dinner.
Off to have a quick catchup = only 5 mins till ironing time!
DLB - good luck for today.
Kiwichick - take care of yourself.

Morning all!!
It seems like ages since I posted on here but I have a rare day off ( 'cos it's my birthday - hurrah!!!) so I plan nothing more than sitting down in front of UKTV Food all day and reading my birthday presents - Nigella's Feast & How to EatThen I should have loads of ideas for next weeks menu plans.
Hope everyone else has better weather than me - it's raining cats and dogs up here :mad:0 -
morning all :hello:
don't seem to have caught up on my hour yet, usually in work for 8.30
trying to cook from scratch more often, it used to be regular but since new job started it's more and more easy meals, eating out etc and my weight is reflecting that
last night did loads of veg in oven, tasty and healthy
night before picked up some half price chick drums, popped them in SC for a couple of hours, finished off on griddle and had with salad
not sure yet for tonight but have got mince and chicken thighs in, so will decide later
weather has been glorious lately so been great to get clothes out on the line

Morning
Hugs to those who've not slept. I had a lovely night's sleep, which I really needed
I've sorted out my direct debit for my mortgage, and now just waiting to get the offer. Need to arrange to see the estate agents now and then I can pay the solicitor to really get things going.
Asking for a pay rise later and also to go back to the late shift, instead of chopping and changing all the time. My job description gives the times of the later shift, so surely they have to abide by that, as I've had no written confirmation that my shifts are to alter
Did the recycling last night - 8 bags:eek:
I've somehow been roped into cleaning up a local historic site over Easter. Wasn't so much asked as informed!!!
Well hope everyone has a great dayComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Hi Y'all, I have been to bed but I havn't slept! I've now got a thumping headache and that queasy, bug-eyed feeling you get after a bad night:shocked:
I popped up to see my Mum and Dad last night to find out how they had got on one their trip to our place at the coast last weekend. What they hadn't told me on the phone earlier in the week was, while over there my Mum had a really nasty fall in the shower and now looks like she has done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson. She looks a right mess and is black and blue the whole length of one side of her body.
Apparently she then fainted twice and at one point my Dad thinks she may have stopped breathing and he had to breath for her.
This is the second big fall she has had this year, a few months ago she took out a whole flight of stairs at work. She's only 59, I dread to think what she will be like when she gets older.
The Dr thinks it is something to do with her irregular heartbeat and muttered something about the Beta Blockers she is one not helping but she can't stop taking them. A Pacemaker was also muted as a future 'treat' - couldn't get much more than that out of either of them. They both get this sort of glazed look when talking to Dr's and take nothing in. Next visit I shall go with them!
I'm off to the coast tomorrow and I can't be fussed to do much OS or otherwise today now!
Thanks for listening to my tale of woe, I shall try and pop back with something more upbeat later:D
Hugs to those who need them and anyone feeling a bit sore and slighted after yesterday. Today is a new day and a new start:j
Have a good one

Morning
Moggins  you dirty stop-out
Wet and miserable here today (the weather, not me)Too wet for the allotment, so today will have to be a declutter day and I might put the BM on and make some leek and potato soup.
My neighbour gave me a bottle of wine to try, he bought a kit from Wickes which makes 30 bottles in 7 days, not sure exactly how much it cost, but he did say it is about £1 a bottle. It was lovely, mind you he had laced it with cherry brandy to give it a kick :rotfl:
Hugs to anyone feeling down :grouphug: have a good day everyone xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0
