Afternoon All
Wet grey and miserable here in Essex. This morning popped into local town for some birthday cards and did my mystery shop - seemed to go ok. Then had to pop to another village as some of the tiles for the kitchen we ordered yesterday had been discontinued so had to have another look. Have now found some new ones that I actually prefer but are dearer.
In a minute am going to veg in front of neighbours and if im really desperate - doctors. OH is catching up on some much needed sleep and I am hoping to do the school run altho if it keeps raining wont be able as havnt got a coat with a hood that fits over my plaster and dont think will do too well with a brolly. Fingers x'd it stops by then.
Managed to have a small buffet dinner last night but it will have to be a takeway away tonight. Kitchen at the moment is a bare shell with just a fridge and wm plugged in.
Best be off now.
Smokey & Amie - please come back.
Math (((hugs))) for your mum - hope it gets sorted.
Have a brilliant birthday Ruby Pudding

Good afternoon everyone
Well it's a much friendlier place today
Only another hour left at work, then I can go and pick up DD from school (it's her last day before the Easter hols :easter_ba ) and crack on with some housework/ironing/washing/cooking tea etc etc  My Sainsbury's shop is being delivered this evening so I really need to make some cupboard/fridge/freezer space - don't think I've much chance of having any freezer space though
(((((hugs))))) to your mum MATH

Don't know if this is the right place to ask, but have just been cleaning bathroom and I wondered if there is an OS version of cif cream. I know it is pretty cheap but I use it quite often and thought there might be another option. I have bought stardrops but have not started using it yet as trying to use up everything in my cleaning cupboard first so don't know if this would work but was thinking of something with gentle abrasive action
Thanks in advance

I think it was taplady whose son was having problems sleeping a few weeks ago. Several people on this thread recommended lavender - oil or essence in a bath before bed, spray mist on a pillow etc. Also, try and do nothing for an hour or so before you go to bed to wind down, and don't use your bedroom for anything other than sleeptime activities...0 -

Hi Bargain Rzl!! Yes, you helped me out with my uses for over-ripe bananas - made a yummy banana loaf (and following the recipe on the indexed thread I put some chopped Mars Bar in it too... yummmmmmm).... Re. username - that made me smile!!... it is the first, 'a typical blonde'.... I am a blonde on a mission though right now to master the OS ways... maybe I should change my username!!!:D
Hope everyone is having a good day (and not getting too rained on) :AMFW

Cif cream is a modern version of an OS favourite - AJAX Scouring Powder. IMO OS scouring powder is too abrasive for most modern surfaces. I'd stick with cream cleanser, switch to a supermarket brand and save a few pennies. HTHLife's a beach! Take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes.0 -
Hello everyone :hello:
I've had a very constructive day today (which is not very often). Yesterday I done my meal plan for the month and shopping lists. I then decided to do my shopping on-line as I'm housebound for a couple of days now DS chickenpox has come out again (this is the 3rd time he's had it and the 2nd time this month!!!) I can't remember what he looked like before all these spots.
Anyway shopping delivery came this morning and half an hour early as well!! (very impressed) So this morning I have been batch cooking soups, sauces and casseroles and my freezer is now full for a change. I wanted to do some more but I run out of tupperware boxes and freezer space!! Probably just as well.
Anyway just got back from DS school to collect some work that he has missed and this afternoon I'm doing my ironing.
Have a good afternoon and Hugs to all that need them
