Good evening.

DS1 starts a work placement in London on Monday so tonight is his last evening at home for a while. Having roast chicken lemon meringue for pud - his favorite. DD1 home from uni and gone to town to meet friends but said she was only taking £10 because she didn't want to spent too much. (MSEer in training) DD2 doing homework as usual and DS2 not, as usual.

Did 30 mins ironing before w*** this morning on cheap electric. Made the pastry for the LM pie. Took 2 bags of 'stuff' to charity shop after w***. Lit a coal fire just now so no need for heating, infact I've not had it on since Monday.

Just finished the spag bol followed by pineapple.NHSslave pineapple fresh or canned is great in muffins as well as peaches(add some desiccated coconut too). If you are keen to make muffins look out this book

Had a lovely day today. Hubby had the day off and spoiled me.

We went into Cambridge, then had a all you can eat chinise which was lovely.

We then came home and watched a james bond ( he brought them all for me )

I have done nothing today and it has been lovely.

NHSslave, I read somewhere years ago that to ensure the fruit doesn't sink in muffins it needs to be coated in flour before being added to the mixture. Here's my muffin recipe.

I ended up not going to Homestart until this afternoon so got lots of bits and pieces done this morning. The loo handle still isn't fixed (how he managed to break a chrome handle in two is beyond me!) so they have all been using the en-suite in our bedroom. I know this makes me sound like a spoilt child, but I've always though of that as MY bathroom and I'm not used to sharing it, so we're going to have to get the main loo fixed pronto!

I'm feeling tired tonight, so hoping for an early night..the best laid plans and all that...

Well I failed at the first fence, after sorting our teas out last night, forgot to get something out for tonight. Just raided freezer and found a packet of Birds Eye small S&K Pies, so cooking those with some oven chips (frozen again):eek: :eek: But it is part of the freezer clear out, as I am not buying anything like that again.:A

Just watched the Tennis, which I love to watch, and it was a really good match, Nadal being knocked out by DJOKOVIC.

Evening all

Just a quick one to wish Funky Fairy and Ruby Pudding a happy birthday.

I could snore my head off right now, I am pooped! Not long until it's bedtime, though I can guarantee I'll be wide awake at about 4.00 am.

I've got a dental appointment tomorrow morning, can't say as I am particularly looking forward to that. It's a check up, so fingers crossed everything will be OK.

Hi, I'm posting late today as it has been a long busy day.
I was at w*** today and I made another batch of chocolate crispy cakes with my class and we finally get to eat them tomorrow! :j
We all break up tomorrow for the Easter holidays and I can't wait...no uniforms and packed lunches to prepare for two whole weeks!
Not much OS today, a quick tea of sausages in gravy as it was Brownie night and we don't have much time to eat on Thursdays. The WM is on at the moment with the second load and then It will be the TD's turn.

Not a very os day for me, went to the chippy for tea when ive got a fridge full of food ....oh and im allegedly on a diet too!

Day off work tomorrow so plan to tidy out my clothes cupboard and airing cupboards.
