Afternoon all!
Just had my last day of supply before Easter... well, unless I have a call at 7:30 tomorrow morning... which I really don't want!! So I'm celebrating by window shopping, haha. Very MSE! I have been gazing at Tarina Tarantino jewellery, it is so gorgeous! And also have been debating signing up for some swaps on Swap Bot to keep my mailbox and myself busy
Am working both Saturday and Sunday (April Fools... eek!) so tomorrow I am going to make sure that I have a few things sorted, but also take it easy as I've not felt well all dayBanking, post office and taking computer stuff back to the shop- so thrilling, I know!
Monday is the start of my big Spring clean so will have to make sure that I am all stocked up on microfibre cloths and Stardrops!! And make myself prepared that although it will probably look messier to begin with, if I continue, it'll turn out lovely! Plus I'll be cooking lots of lovely meals and making room in the freezer, yay. Anyone else doing a Spring clean at the moment? Think I might make a Gypsy tart at the weekend too, yummy.
Going to pop the kettle on, watch the rest of Sally and munch on an egg custard tart now xx

crazychic, hugs to ur dd, must have been very scary.
Kyle, my muffins were / are tasty too, I used apricots instead of raspberries and had to sample two (just to make sure they're okay to give to hubby, of
course).
Talking of hubby, he rang up a minute ago and said that I deserved a treat as my first week of cooking has gone so well, and would I like sushi tonight? Oh yes I would! (It's my favourite food & I'm a 'japanophile') - so I'm very excited about my tea tonight! (and it meant that I didn't have to cook, as I've got some leftover rice for ds). yay!
I made Paneer as a treat for him for tomorrow night, we can have a sag paneer (nothing to do with the fact I have a bag of fresh 'sag' that'll go off in a couple of days, or anything).:D
Oh! my gas man arrived about 2 minutes after my last post - I'd put on bra and jumper but was still in my PJ trousers and I hadn't brushed my hair yet. I felt very embarrassed.'Luckily' DS played up a bit and had a bit of a 2 year old tantrum so I'm sure the gas man now thinks I'm just too stressed & busy. What does it matter really? It's not like I'm ever going to see him again!
ANyway, off to tidy up the kitchen now I think...0 -
I have become so tight so quickly, unbelievable how these forums both open your eyes and really take hold! There was 1p on the staffroom floor, I saw it yesterday but there were loads of people about, when I checked this afternoon it was still under the chair so I grabbed it for my money box...very sad indeed!

Kyle (and anyone else who knows), sorry if I sound a bit thick! but do you use a sponge recipe for your muffins or is it a different mixture. I have tried to make little cakes with peach pieces in it (trying to find a cheaper alternate to Starbucks skinny peach and raspberry muffins) but the fruit all sank to the bottom of the cakes. I figured maybe the mixture was too light to hold the fruit, or maybe the pieces were too big. Would appreciate any advice
