I've already taken the chance to leave and will be on fibre broadband this time next week, lol.

I doubt i'll get what i want and that's out of my mobile contract now without penalty but i will push for it. I'm only 10 months into a 24 month contract so i cant even reduce it for another 2 months :(

Do Orange have to reply to OFCOM complaint within a certain time? Someone i spoke to at the "Exec Office" said they reply with 5 days of these, lol.
cancel that, im sure you will get a cheaper fibre deal with EE, that will compensate you
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

Ripping us off, miss selling, lying, spinning, pretend special departments, menu systems, deceiving Ofcom, financial detriment to customers, playing games, bullying, causing undue stress to customers, unable to follow your own complaints process: not a fit and proper company to be given a UK telecoms license.

A nightmare situation that appears unresolvable. Play games as much as you want Orange - i will have my mobile contract cancelled at no cost to myself and i will be compensated for the lost hours on the phone to yourselves - because you have breached our contract.

4 more weeks until CISAS for me, as i first complained in late August. If that fails small claims court to claim back the money that i will have to spend to buy out my remaining 11 months mob contract.

Just out of interest for those of you who have fought and made the calls etc - now you have seen this 'company' in its true light - would you really keep your broadband with them to save a few quid?

I am glad i moved mine - its better now! I just have to fight over getting my mobile cancelled at no cost to myself and fight for compensation for my time used trying to resolve this.

I'm happy with the deal i got with Plusnet, i'm not going anywhere near Orange ever again.
  • Just received my third cut off date for my broadband from Orange.
My initial letter told me I had until 14/10/12 to switch my line rental to them, I have since had an email moving the date back to 07/11/12 and the latest email of today tells me that `time is running out` but has moved the date back to 20th November !

Still no call from the secret squirrel team though.

I would be prepared to switch providers but need more than the 10gb monthly limit on the cheapest deals available.

Checked my usage with Orange who said I use approx 30gb mth.

I would be looking at paying £13 month, £156 yr (Plusnet, not considering special offers) to receive the same current service.

Looking for long term stability and value, not just the best one year deal (hassle of changing each time). When you look at the argument in that context, the Orange £14 offer is good value.

I have free Orange broadband until 17th Nov and BT line rental saver contract until 7th Dec, so in my situation I need to be patient anyway. Most deals want line rental too.

Also considering Virgin fibre broadband but is £14.50 mth + £13.90 line rental or £22.50 mth without line rental (keep my BT line or even do without!)

Time may well solve all the current problems!

Yes patience is a virtue. I actually paid an extra 25 to plusnet to not be on a contract at sign up - simply because i expect significant changes in all these markets in the next 12 months - which is why i don't want to be tied down. After this nightmare is sorted I will be going to Virgin on my mobile, so will probably look at their broadband deals and the others (but not EE) before my plusnet goes to full price in a years time.

Exactly what i did and how i feel - Orange never again (no matter how cheap you are)
  • Confirmation Ofcom and Orange have some kind of special arangment.Taken from OFCOM release.(Another six months have passed and the complaints about broadband are still arriving at Ofcom who dutifully record the information and publish it. Orange was only added to the tracking in April 2011.
The trend for the level of complaints reducing has continued since the last publication in March, the most significant change is that in May and June complaints registered for Orange decreased to a very low level,)
  • Things might be changing as we know it...... I noticed this morning i had EE on my mobile signal then around 3.30 it changed back to the norm Orange T-mobile.... they must be testing the signal.
Lets see what happens next ....
  • "...However, if you exhaust this and remain unhappy, OR if your complaint has been ongoing for over 8 weeks, you may wish to discuss your concerns with Orange’s Alternative Dispute Resolution scheme, CISAS"

    or? so we're unhappy, right?

this is a quote from the ofcom reply.
