Except after the way they have handled this to date and the previous in contract price hike on mobile contracts not to mention the dire technical support and customer service ( with very very few exceptions ) ......
Nope I think it would take a long long time for Orange / EE to make significant inroads into the UK landline market.SMA 4000TL Inverter, 17 REC 235PE Panels, South facing, roof angle \ `ish, 3995 watt system.Installed Nov 2011.0 -

I agree somewhat, but there are millions of disgruntled 3,Voda, o2 and landline customers (EE can pick up compared to tjose it !!!!!! off) - thats Ofcom's fault, standards are amazingly low in this country.
Telecommunications regulator in AU is great compared to here, many more countries aswell. Ofcom has always been a poor show, looks for its complaints procedure against itself....SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
Diamonds - many thanks for BT wholesale price info.
Will help to negotiate if I agree to switch to Orange line rental, assuming they really are offering resolutions to move forward!
My rental saver BT contract ends 7 Dec 2012. I do not use evening/weekend calls. I have 12 mths left of my mobile contract that I expected free broadband for.
I would be prepared to switch line rental to Orange from 7 Dec and be happy with £100 credit for an 18 mth contract. (doubt it will be offered but we will see!) I want at least £50 credit to consider switching.
Otherwise I want my original free broadband for the next 12 mths.
We all have different circumstances and want different outcomes. Let's hope Orange's special team have some flexibility to resolve complaints.
No problem, no customer should be in a financial detriment - Orange call charges are detrimental enough - 2 price increases in March & September
So will Orange give you new terms satisfying no financial detriment in writing & ensure no further changes of charges going "up" for them terms you all may agree for keeping free broadband over a new contract term ?
Doubt it....SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
I know people want to keep their existing package of free broadband with mobile contract. I have had this contract for years and was quite happy with the free broadband till last year. Things changed, now they are just renting stuff out from BT wholesale. I was considering moving away from orange before it` all0

God only knows why BT Wholesale got the contract & Orange did not invest in its own exchange equipment as the rest of Orange seems to get investment...

As I have always said & sustain France Telecom want to spend minimal on Orange UK and convert its profits to Euro's to pay off France Telecoms MASSIVE debts, UK has the best exchange rate to the euro out off all Orange & France Telecom subsiduaries worldwide.
To commit to spend on 4G billions but outsource broadband to BT Wholesale at cost to profits ? Yup great decision making...SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... Well every little helps business, Orange make good profit on it before ANY calls. Orange pay £98.81 a year to BT Wholesale for 2012-13. £69.09 profit for NOTHING on £14 a month offer per year, but...
Apart from a multitude of administration costs, bank costs, advertising costs, bad debts, customer service, etc etcGod only knows why BT Wholesale got the contract & Orange did not invest in its own exchange equipment as the rest of Orange seems to get investment...

Orange has already tried with it's own exchange equipment and it lost massive amounts of money. Moving to BT means that overall they probably break even on it, but they do it anyway as a retention tool for the mobile side of the business.
I signed up to Orange BB last year. 6 months half price line rental, £150 cashback from Quidco and £5 off per month due to my mobile contract. Customer service has been excellent and I've had very few problems - I would tend to notice as I spend at least 12 hours a day on the PC and download around 100 Gb per month!
Orange Broadband for me, has been one of the best and cheapest services (after using the above offers) I've ever bought. I'm coming to the end of my 18month BB contract soon, so I'll be looking around, particularly at fibre and I can't wait to see what EE has to offer - having said that I tend have zero brand loyalty, so it will all come down to price.0 -

So do Primus, & Orange have support in India too !
Orange UK is the only business in broadband that has been a complete mess, the business model worked elsewhere for Orange.

Just had a missed call from 07720 590063 (a Vodafonenumber), call back - trying to get me to upgrade one of my contracts & misrepresenting themselves as Orange & move me to 3....so 3 commission must be high !
Further inspection locates a Orange Principle & Vodafone Platinum "partner" !!!

Apparently the special team have no direct telephone contact number and all I could be told is that I can expect to receive a phone call this week, by Friday at the latest.
Hopefully someone on this forum will get an early phone call and share with us what's the resolution offer(s) to move forward!
I was surprised the Exec Office had no knowledge of what the offer maybe. All very secretive and the saga continues to drag on and on ...
I have heard nothing, but will post if I do.
The Exec Office were not even invited to the meeting, so are privy to nothing!
Seems Exec Office are the 'front line' to take the irate calls, but is suffering from 'mushroom syndrome'!
Much like the rest of us ........0 -
I called the Exec office this morning and logged my compliant with them (have already sent a letter but want to get this sorted asap) gave them my OFCOM ref and was told they deal with OFCOM complaints within 5 working days.
Will keep checking the thread for 'Offers' that other receive but all i'm interested in is getting out of my contract Orange really need to work on the way they deal with their customers, this isn't the first time i had to complain so I've given them a chance out i'm done with them.
Thanks for all the info in this thread i really hope as many people as possible have seen this and put it to use and find a better provider.
