It would I guess be an administrative nightmare dealing with individual cases - however you may be correct. I guess this would suit Orange / EE as they can then manipulate more customers into unfair resolutions - not all people are strong or knowledgeable in negotiating with companies like this one.

I read somewhere last night (sorry cant find the site now) that they lost many customers around 2007 and only recently stopped the decline (until now!) I think i read they only have approx 700,000 BB customers.

My terms are: instant ending of my mobile contract at no cost to me (11 months left) and then depending upon what they propose as a resolution I may want compensating financially for moving my broadband (covering the costs of the move and the cost of that broadband for the next 11 months) - oh and then we have to consider the stress caused don't we!

If I am honest, the impression I got from talking to my case manager previously,(unfortunate I missed the call today!), is they will be addressing cases that have used the Orange Code of Practice.
I do know, at the point I put my complaint in, it was the only case he had; 5 days later, he had 9 cases, but the exec office was inundated with irate calls!

You seem very clear on your objectives, if you haven't already done so, put your complaint in writing clearly stating them

This may be the link you are referring to?

ooopsie Orange, sorry did my personal Orange files being loaded to MSE links not help your case/legal team ? what a quick turn around, oh what a nightmare you have unfolded on yourselves LOL

EVERYONE:when you do things online, take screen shots, t&c ANYTHING & EVERYTHING related to the product/s you are agreeing too, then digital vault them on a hard drive, email and perhaps a CLOUD service, even print them out as a further option... they will come in handy at one point you still have the product/service & the more different place you have records the chance of you losing all are minimal ;)

Companies will abuse anyone over revenue.

Watchdog on my TV tonight then is it :D

If Watchdog journos do a good job reporting why Orange is changing everything and merging broadband to EE, EE will be publically damaged before launch PMSL now thats publicity no company can buy for its new brand/image/products !!! Watchdog should bring up all the issues since 2006 to the PUBLIC Orange Broadband apology from Oct 2011 as a lead into its coverage over all these recent T&C breaches:

diamonds how ironic!....Took a screenshot of my account and bundles about an hour ago showing eligible for free BB!!! ............and hard copied my BB account at the outset of all this.

The website is changing rapidly, wouldn't want to lose important information/evidence.

What page of the account website is that on? Can't find anything that relates to free broadband on mine :-(

you need to log into your account, on the right hand side of the page you will see: explore other Orange services

this will bring up page 'manage your extras'

Again on the right hand side, you will see 'your bundles'

Click on the arrow, should then display your bundled services ;)

    Hope that helps?

What Orange don't tell you is that their landline "offer" is not even comparable with BT as some of the BT Calling Features such as Call Diversion to a mobile are not available with Oranges service.

Orange may say it's a squeak cheaper, but if you want and need Call Diversion what's the point ?

Glad to say my transfer to Sky Unlimited Broadband and Talk went perfectly and Sky do support Call Diversion !

My Broadband invoice says "Broadband free with your Orange Mobile Phone" and my mobile bill says under extras and discounts "Free Orange Broadband"

I will be interested to see how they will try to wriggle out of this one.

Be interesting if it is on Watchdog tonight.. i was told start of November.
  • Hi there, brand new to this forum and not surprised to see so many other people hacked off about this decision by Orange. I too have a mobile package for which I previously qualified for free home broadband. I have a question if anybody can help:

I first discovered I would lose the free home broadband last week in a letter, and they are telling me (as everyone else) that I need to pay for line rental with them in order for it to continue. However, they already provide my line. I left BT in November last year, and line rental is included on my Orange bill, charged at £0.00. But when I spoke to someone at Orange today, they were convinced they did not provide my landline. Should I presume I will lose this when I lose the broadband package? I am looking at packages offered by Virgin and Sky at the moment to replace the broadband (with a better tv deal included), but really don't know what to do with the line rental - don't want to end up paying almost £15 a month when I've had that free too!
