Just been to the post office to send my letter, this isn't the first time I've complained to Orange. Had to write to them back 2009 regarding a Home Phone complaint. Let's hope the out come is the same and the fix their balls up.

I too received a call from a manager at the exec office of Orange as i wasnt happy talking to a Robot from there on the previous call. As much as they hate receiving the calls at the moment and getting moaned at.. at least there getting paid to do it. I have to do it to argue to receive what i was already promised.... at no charge for my time!
I was told they will know within 48 hours to if we can take it to the CISAS by sending out deal lock letters.... Or if there is going to be other solutions. He did mention something quiet interesting thought and that is although we cant prove we have been mis-sold out contracts, Orange also aren't in the position to be able to disprove it. Due to the fact there are no recordings because of the length of time many of the contracts have been running for, as sales calls only have to be kept for 6 months legally.
Over the last few calls ive had Orange do seem to have changed their attitude and stance on the matter, but i guess the proof will be in the eating if their legal team have found a way out of it.
Interesting, however i would not hold my breath! one of the issues they will now face if they do a back track on their decision is that many people have already left for other companies - because of the Orange letter and statements and us all banging our heads against walls trying for a resolution; so if they now back track they will be opening themselves up for more claims and legal action.
One of the issues is we all have different wants and outcomes from this breach of contract and miss selling, owing to our own needs, contract lengths etc. I want my mobile contract ended at no cost to me, because i have moved my broadband already - I want nothing to do with this company of cheats, but others will be happy stay if they offer to continue free broadband for those paying 30+ till the end of present contracts.0 -
I have contacted watchdog, as have a few other members, might I suggest you do too?......Because certainly there is strength in numbers.
That having been said, do not give up on the fact you have been mis-sold a contract! Because there is loads you CAN do; I am giving Orange the opportunity to resolve this, however, if the resolution is unfavorable, I shall pursue it through the small claims court with confidence that consumer law is on my side.
It is only futile if we lie down and take it.;)
I have contacted watchdog, ofcom, etc, your correct the more people do the more chance of getting justice.0 -

Odd them giving a statement today when the exec office has informed two members here today they will reach a decision within 48hrs!

If a breach is admitted/proven, I would have thought they will need to negotiate on a case by case basis?
Then it will be for the individual to decide/negotiate their own terms? Also, if they can continue to do business with an unethical company.
I strongly suspect they want rid of free BB to make way for fibre BB, which will mean our liveboxes are defunct and too costly to replace FOC0 -
Orange seem to think everyone who has ever had a problem with them have jumped onto this bandwagon and are trying to make Orange look bad(as if they needed any help)0

Unfortunately for them they assumed, wrongly, that they had it all tied up with the T&C's and thought we would all follow on like sheep and accept it!
Guess they didn't foresee the full on fury this would invoke!0 -

I agree they definitely want rid of free BB, especially as they now sub let BT's service and have removed their own equipment - free BB is costing them big time.
It would I guess be an administrative nightmare dealing with individual cases - however you may be correct. I guess this would suit Orange / EE as they can then manipulate more customers into unfair resolutions - not all people are strong or knowledgeable in negotiating with companies like this one.
I read somewhere last night (sorry cant find the site now) that they lost many customers around 2007 and only recently stopped the decline (until now!) I think i read they only have approx 700,000 BB customers.
My terms are: instant ending of my mobile contract at no cost to me (11 months left) and then depending upon what they propose as a resolution I may want compensating financially for moving my broadband (covering the costs of the move and the cost of that broadband for the next 11 months) - oh and then we have to consider the stress caused don't we!0 -
When i rang Orange up today could not believe the change in attitude friendly and bent over backwards to assist if possible.Told them i had sent 4 emails and nobody has been in touch, told sorry about that and i would be given a case manager to help with my problem. All Orange staff have supossedly got an email about tonight screening on Watchdog. They also mentioned a case by case option for complaints.(dont shoot the messenger)0
