I spent over 3/4 hour being passed from pillar to post, with no-one able to actually comply with my request, before being promised a call back in a couple of hours or so...maybe the next day. That was ELEVEN DAYS ago.
Cue second letter of complaint, sent recorded delivery, giving final notice of impending court action - lets see what the courts say about this eh, if Orange cannot be bothered to say anything!:mad:0 -
He was that ashamed, he decided it was now time to really p155 us all off !!!!

Sorry, I had to write it like this as unable to post links !!0 -
Have been a customer of Orange for past 7 years....My contract is up in December...needless to say I'll be moving away from them.
Already got sky team working to provide me with a new BB package. With Customer Service horror stories, I dont expect it to be an easy move0 -

Just ring up customer services and ask for your MAC code - you will get it within 5 days and it lasts for 30 days (you can request another if it expires after 30 days) - this is one thing they can't mess you about with. Pass it to sky.0 -
Plusnet's half price Broadband deal - you need to sign up before 26th October!
I went on the no contract option with home phone and broadband - this way no issues if I am not happy with them!
New customers who place an order for Plusnet Home Phone Evening and Weekend or Anytime packages and Plusnet Value Broadband or Plusnet Extra Broadband by October 26, 2012 get 50% off their monthly broadband rental charge for 12 months
The offer is only available to new customers signing up online or by quoting 12halfprice promotional code.
Only customers who order the service between 29th August and October 26, 2012 are eligible for this offer0 -
Come on Martin Lewis, we need you to get in front of a camera and articulate the anger of all these Orange BB customers.
This grievous injustice perpetrated by Orange on their customers has become polemic, as indicated by the phenomenal traffic created by the issue on your website.
MSE is strongly personalised to your good self. It would be helpful if you could take up the cudgels on behalf of all these Orange customers patronising your website.
Wrongs will always prosper if we simply sit on our hands, and bleat meekly. This wrong now requires the oxygen of wider publicity, and a louder voice. Orange cannot be allowed to get away with this.
"Free for life" is not an ambiguous statement, it is utterly unequivocal !
Please Martin!
I feel the only way we can get released from our contracts via this mis selling is if Martin / watchdog or someone or something with publicity power gets involved!
I thought there would be more net noise about this, but sadly not. I will start a blog and start posting elsewhere about this.
Orange safeguard: I downed my contract from 35 to 15.50 panther and the settings went to default on my account - ie Orange safeguard was turned back on - guess what - Orange safeguard blocks MSE forums! I wonder why? :money:0 -
Latest news from Orange Exec Office; Talks are ongoing, Legal team and Orange, and they hope to issue a statement by the end of the week.
Unfortunately I was driving and couldn't take the call, so was a message left for me by case manager
Oh yes, forgot to say, got home to find another letter from orange re: 'Time's running out to keep your free Broadband'!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrr0 -

I have contacted watchdog, as have a few other members, might I suggest you do too?......Because certainly there is strength in numbers.
That having been said, do not give up on the fact you have been mis-sold a contract! Because there is loads you CAN do; I am giving Orange the opportunity to resolve this, however, if the resolution is unfavorable, I shall pursue it through the small claims court with confidence that consumer law is on my side.
It is only futile if we lie down and take it.;)0 -
I too received a call from a manager at the exec office of Orange as i wasnt happy talking to a Robot from there on the previous call. As much as they hate receiving the calls at the moment and getting moaned at.. at least there getting paid to do it. I have to do it to argue to receive what i was already promised.... at no charge for my time!
I was told they will know within 48 hours to if we can take it to the CISAS by sending out deal lock letters.... Or if there is going to be other solutions. He did mention something quiet interesting thought and that is although we cant prove we have been mis-sold out contracts, Orange also aren't in the position to be able to disprove it. Due to the fact there are no recordings because of the length of time many of the contracts have been running for, as sales calls only have to be kept for 6 months legally.
Over the last few calls ive had Orange do seem to have changed their attitude and stance on the matter, but i guess the proof will be in the eating if their legal team have found a way out of it.0 -

Erm.......I do not think we would be on here all saying the same thing would we?...........lets face it, none of us know each other, and it's the same story throughout!
Also the amount of traffic the thread has generated, I strongly suspect there are thousands affected!
As I said, there is strength in numbers, if the announcement is not to our liking we may have to consider forming an 'action group' to take this forward.
Don't forget there is also one member that posted and at that time were only 2 weeks into their contract!.....That having been said I suspect the statement to which they refer is 'Free for Life'0
