Just been on with executive office, told compensation should not have been paid, wanted to cancel mobile contract early they dont seem to want to do that as they say they have done nothing wrong, and as a act of goodwill have agreed to let us have free broadband until the end of our contracts. How have people been able to terminate their mobile contracts.
  • I've just typed "orange mobile and broadband 2006" into google and the second line down has what looks like an official orange pdf with terms and conditions from 2006.
Sorry newbie so can't post the link

Similar to Jimmijamie above, I was cut off (e mail account) on Saturday but not after a conversation on the Friday. It was however similar story, phoned them and was told it was an error and would be reconnected within 24 hours. Phoned them on the Sunday, sorry you should have been told 48 hours. Monday, still not connected. Sorry, not put through properly........will now put the request through, will be ok in 48 hours! 2 days later, still not connected..........phoned again, sorry sir, i will connect you now, should be on in 10 minutes!!!!
First problem sorted.......now just to get the rest of it done.

A brief recap of my saga, very similar to everyone else but this time I can add that i was offered £8 a month back in august but did not take it up as I felt so annoyed at the way it was done. Now discussed that option with 'Cara Thursby' who was able to offer the free broadband until the end of contract but 'There are no notes' from this being offered! Strange that eh.........MAC obtained

Very interesting they reconnected you within 10 minutes, may I ask what you said to them exactly in order to get them to do this because whatever my parents have said up to now has definitely not worked to this effect!
  • Has anyboby read my post 2539? Ring them up!! They gave in after 5 mins. Stop wittering and call them .
  • I had "Free business banking for life" with Abbey Bank. Santander took them over and tried to "Upgrade" me to a pay monthly service. I and many others took them on and they have backed down. Do the same with Orange, and threaten to sue them for breach of contract.
  • Hi got a verbal recorded resolution last Friday evening by a manager. Was promised unlimited, uncapped and same speed BB for the remaining 22 months of my latest 2 year mobile conract. Even given some compensation money to be added to my mobile account. This was all I was after, so happy, but.....

I asked and was promised (by the Manager on 08002944747 opt. 1) for a email comfirmation ant told it would arrive on Monday morning, which would then allow me to contact OEO with the resolution and the email would allow closure of my case.
    Nothing arrived Monday morning!
Phoned same person Monday evening promised Tuesday morning, no email!
Phoned same person Tuesday evening, promised Wednesday morning, no email!
Phoned same person Wednesday late afternoon, awaiting for him (BRUCE) to phone me back before 6pm as promised.

Seems hard to get a email comfiming the verbal agreement! Have you people got comfirmation by email or just settled for verbal and are hoping that in 6 months time you will not have to do all the fighting again? As for me I will not except the resoluion/ closure of my case until I,ve got it in writing!!!!!
    Kind Regards

Initially spoke with 'dan' in executive office on 0800 0790 134 who then transfered me to customer services who then transfered me to Broadband dept. I think it was then Megan I spoke ot who just happened to be sitting next to the guy who was 'switching people back on' who had been cut off incorrectly due to a system error. When asked why she could do it in 10 minutes when no one had managed it for 5 days I was told the system is now up. So glad to get the e mails up and running again that I did not push it further.
Note.....my broadband had not been disconnected, just my e mail account locked!
  • Rang Saturday and mentioned the mis-selling aspect, was put on hold to wait to speak to Supervisor. After a while being on hold I was promised a supervisor would ring asap. Today is Wednesday and no call had been received so I rang again... Same Mis-sold explanation and straight through to a supervisor who tried to skirt round selling the land line and calls deal.... In the end I explained my Mobile contract is until January 2014 and I'll sort paying for someone for BB then.. all I wanted was what I was promised when I upgraded/renewed the phone deal which she agreed to let me have... Asked if I would receive confirmation I was told I'd have a an Email within 72 hours.
