Will try Ofcom tom and get aRef number. Dont think I will renew my mobile with Orange tho! I have been with them for 8 years. not as good way to treat a loyal customer!
Call Ofcon tomorrow, think you are not alone in leaving and loads of us are, we just want what we agreed to till that point or out our mobile contracts, Orange have lost us all when mobile contracts expire for how they have treated us all. I have no doubt in 2 years Orange/EE will have the lowest number of broadband customers ever:
1 Fibre prices on EE are not good, easily beaten.
2 Our experience and word of mouth will stop people signing up.
3 Line rental with call costs that are very expensive.
4 Over the next 24 months the last of us Orange mobile & broadband customers will be free of EE, very few will ever return.
And EE broadband will struggle for pooing on its long term Orange customer base.
Frenchman Olaf Swantee will return to France with his head hung low & probably never return to France Telecom, that's a good outcome for us any any future EE customers.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -

Is it correct to assume that only customers who complain with an Ofcom case number are likely to get this resolution?- Free BB until mobile contract end?
Also - I assume - you represent (as an outsourced team) the BB division of Orange and this will be their way of correcting their BB records??0 -
Sorry. Moon777 if I bring bad news I was just trying to help iscorpio out, don't shoot the messenger, it was Orange that changed terms on a case by case situation to keep free/discounted broadband, twice they let me keep it on a under £30 pm upgrade.0

This is hopefully the important post from Ofcom that is going to give us the chance of getting some press coverage, regardless of their current stance today. I do hope Will B Back is prepared to forward this onto the appropriate journalist to get the ball rolling.Will_B_Back wrote: »From Ofcom
I can understand your concerns about Orange offering the deal for life and the fact that it has now changed. As previously explained, Orange are able to make changes to their contracts at any time; however, after reading your email, I can confirm I have now logged a case against Orange for mis-selling.
(there is then the procedure to follow for settling a dispute)
(and finishes with the paragraph)
Finally, as explained above we have been in discussions with Orange about this. If we feel that Orange has breached regulations, we will consider what actions are appropriate (including whether to refer a complaint elsewhere).
!
Please rest assured I have updated your case accordingly.
I had requested a thorough investigation into the companies' practices as, I had been mis sold Free For Life in an Orange Shop By an Orange employee.
Maybe the penny has dropped at Ofcom .

Hi all,
my first post here and have been following all the other varying posts daily. Are there any Orange customers that are in the legal profession that can set a precedent with a case, or does anyone know that if they bow down to one they have to for all?
I spoke to someone on the exec number today with an Ofcom reference and he's taken my details and said the special 'sales' team will phone, is this just a hoop I have to go through before I have to phone the execs back?
Thanks, Jo.0 -

With an Ofcom ref number I would imagine you will be on the 'list' for the 'outsourced/special team' based in Glasgow to make contact - it is not clear at the moment if their remit is to try and sell the landline deal or to just agree continuation with free BB for the remainder of your mobile contract.
My guess is both options will be available to be discussed
It does appear to be ongoing that only those that complain via the Ofcom/Exec route will be dealt with - rather than a blanket decision at the moment0 -
So the people who got BB paying less than 30 a month - all had retention special case deals?
Yes, staff were encouraged to do so regardless what Orange say, the computer allowed such & we orange customers know how much orange "computer says no".SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... Hi Diamonds
I hope my post #2173 - page 109 - explains my post to you last night and the reference I made
So many posts for us *insert french Allo Allo accent* "its so easy to be confusing"SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
I got the impression he was leading me into the sales team to come up with a deal, hopefully I can discuss and get what is rightfully owed, but reading previous posts it seems that it's only the execs office that are granting demands, we'll see. Thanks0
